I landed at Brynnlaw and Sime instructed me to meet Sanik at the Vulgar Monkey. This instruction also appears on my log. The problem is that I have searched the Vulgar Monkey both daytime and nightime and Sanik
is not there. I can't proceed until I meet Sanik. Am I doing something wrong??

Ok im assuming this is your first time trough so I will explain the plot of the island.
Spoilers etc

<LI>In the pub (monkey) you should find sanik, he will be killed by an assasin who will then turn on you. (If this hasnt happened something is wrong and I think Extreamist would be better at helping)
<LI>The bar tender will then inform you that Sanik was due to elope with a whore from Galvena's service
<LI>You then should free the girl via one of a few meathods, this will then open the rest of the quest. I think you can jump in at this point even if you didnt see sanik.

OR

<LI>Another way to enter asylum would be to go to the uppermost house and defeat the wizard inside, he is quite tough and carries a wardstone with which you can cross the bridge. This is more a power play way of doing it and you miss out on all the quests

Desharik, the Pirate Lord
<LI>This is only avalible to parties with minsc or V high chrisma
<LI>Go to the guard on the far left hand side of the island, wither give him good refrance from Golin or Saemon or pay 500gp to get in.
<LI>Once inside talk to Desharik, he has an arange ment going with the owners, he gives them his enimeys they get test subjects, so if you say you are going to cause trouble you wont get far
<LI>The best corse of action is to use minsc to get him to think you are insane.
