Hello guys!

To cut a short story even shorter I'm getting a new GFX Card ('cos mines pooey - Geforce 4 MX460, ouch!). I thought "Well, might as well get a top end beauty with all the new games like Half Life 2 and Doom3 coming out!" so I've found the one I want...

Quite a decent card I'm told at quite a competitive price.

My question is: Does anyone know where I can get this card for cheaper? (I'm a pauper). Or know a cheaper version of it that does exactly the same thing?

I'd really appreciate any help you can give me guys . Because tbh, £130 quid is a hell of a lot of money to me!

Many thanks for any responses :D .

Or know a cheaper version of it that does exactly the same thing? Quite a controversy there; cheaper versions are always cheap because they offer less processing-power. I'm pretty sure that even your current AGP-card will be enough to run HL2 (Doom 3 will require a brand new *machine* :shake: ).

So you ended up 100% sure to ATI? As good choise as any, but don't let them offer you those "cheap-but-as-good" models ;)

I'm not sure if this is a better price or not (in US dollars). This particular card seems highly rated by online reviews, but I really use nVidia stuff, so I'm not positive. BTW, these guys rock. I buy all my parts from them and have never had a problem.
