I was mucking around with my laptop settings, and I set the auto-center option to on, while fixing up my track pad.
Its the bit where it automatically puts the cursor on the "OK" or "Cancel" buttons when a new window pops up.

Its getting really annoying though, and I wanted to remove it...only...I dunno how! I can't seem to find it again!

I'm runnin Windows XP Home with SP2, and I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out with this.

I don't have XP at work or at home, but that setting is typically found under one of the tabs of the mouse properties.

Are you accessing the properties for your track pad to try to change it? If not, that's where you should look I think.

Yeah, if you go to control panel, select mouse and then the pointer options tab you should see it labelled as "Snap to".
