Got a problem here...
NONE of the romances are starting as they should.

1. Jahiera Romance should be triggered by accepting Galen Bayle's(sp?) proposal. Does not.

2. Viconia Romance should be triggered by an amount of time (or am i wrong... correct me as needed). Does not.

3. Aerie Romance (not currently in party) was never triggered.

Critical info:
I am an Elvin fighter / mage
Has been about 40 days

Any help would be much appreciated.

P.S. I have tried even the cheating tricks to get these to start and they still don't. Is a reinstall necissary?

Well, if you're an elf, the Viconia romance won't start. Its only for Humans, Half-elves and I think, Half-orcs. Maybe you said something to Jaheira near the beginning that stopped the romance dialogue from starting or something. Jaheira's romance is notoriously bug filled though.:)

If you kicked her out of the party at all at any point in the game than that is the reason.

I didn't say anything that should have turned the Jahiera romance sour and I never kicked her out.

But i didn't know that Vic couldn't romance an elf... hm... i should have read that in one of the guides i read... maybe i did and skipped it.

Now I'm rammbling, thanks for the info.

When you talk to Galean Bayle you ACCEPT the proposal, you don't say "maybe" or "perhaps" or "we'll see" just because you don't have enough money right away.
Go back to him and restart the talk.

Anyway, the romance will start ticking when you exit Gaelan's house.
40 days? So what. What matters is REAL TIME of playing the game spent in front of your monitor. Not resting.

Remember, romances are tricky part, you can mess them with anything additionally installed except OFFICIAL SoA PATCH! And this goes for ShadowCheater issues too.

(this is my second restart due to this problem. The last time, i got to ch 4 and Jahiera's romance never started(prompting me to read guides))

Jack, if you really have a problem with playing it all legally (and that means - no creating female hero and then changing gender and suck ShadowCheater issues), mail me the saved game.

That didn't work either...

I think i'll just reinstall. Maybe it is just a bad install(i reinstalled once due to a corruption problem on my computer.). It couldn't hurt anything if I back up all my files. Thanks for the offer though Extreamist.
