Where can i found a robe of vecna?

Robe of Vecna can be bought at the adventurers mart if you have the bonus merchants installed.

Um...off topic but, where is the other merchant? I know one of them is in Adventurer's Mart but I couldn't find the other.

The other trader is in the CC near the BBQ

The merchant from whom you can buy the robe's name is Deidre and the one in the "CC" is called Joluv. By the way, ever used "Detect Alignment"? Joluv is EVIL!!!

I looked all over Copper Coronet and he wasn't there!!!!!

first install the files, then go into the copper coronet.

Here you go to the south-east corner of the barbeque (big fire, roasting pigs, whatever). Here you will see a man dressed as a nobleman named Joluv. He's the one.

If he's not there, you're doing something wrong

I *know* I installed the file because I met whats-her-name in Adventurer's mart!! Oh well.

It happened to me, too. Try to reinstall the files, it worked fine with me.

You can kind of tell that by the way he talks...if you choose the "good" options he always has some sort of "are you sure about that?" kinda tone as if he thinks I'm too good and he could do a better job...Ack! Majordomos are always scheming...take Bib Fortuna from Return of the Jedi....

Go into the CC and use "Detect Alignment" (Keldorn has it innate). Open the textbox at the bottom of the screen and read through the names, if there's no message "Joluv - Evil" (maybe "Joluv - Magic Resistance", too, don't know) then he really isn't there!

Good way to spy on enemies on a specific map, btw.

and no, its not meant to be rude. when my friends ask me 'where can I find the robe of venca?' (and they do)I say "dont. its a DITSTRTTOBSAWASS" where upon they get confused and say 'what' where I will tell them not to find it.

well i like it! it does something neat to a mage's ac and saving throws, and makes them a magic missile shootin' machine! does anyone else make arnie noises when they do that or is it just me?

too late,i got it and it is worderfull.my char may cast spells quiqkly,but not all my party,so it is not so bad,plus it is very expensive.

I agree that the robe of vecna ruins the fun a bit. I mean come on a mage that can cast spellstrike or energy drain instanteneously (vecna + amulet of power)? Sounds more like an arcane god to me :)

I think the cloak is fair enough. we pay a lot of gold for it, and the mage does not get godlike he just gets fast.. Anyway should we evaluate every weapon? Carsomyr? is it fun or spoil? Ring of Gaxx is it fun or Spoil? Cloak of mirroring is it fun or spoil?

What the heck lets skip all the magic items in the game. That'll be kinda fun. :p Hey Sir Dargorn. I have an experiment for you. Try completing the game without magical items. only spells and brute force Impossible?
