I just got the Sanchuudoku +4 Katana, and I was wondering what the Acidid Backlash does. Does it affect party members, and how much damage does it do. This is what really messes me up:
powerful acid seem to fly from it whenever an attack is made on the user.
Where does it fly? On party members, the weilder, or the atacker?
For those of you who haven't heard of this awsom sword, here are the stats:

Sanchuudoku +4: Acidic Katana
This green blade was forged by a Kara-Turan Wu Jen as a gift for his paranoid overlord; its name means "Acidic Poisoning". The sword was enchanted using the fresh blood of a Black Dragon and the hilt guard is decorated with Wolfwere bone fragments. The blade heals its user's wounds at an alarming rate and powerful acid seem to fly from it whenever an attack is made on the user.

STATISTICS:

Equipped Abilities: Regeneration (1 hit point per second), Immunity to Acid, anyone attacking or casting spells on the wielder is subject to an Acidid Backlash.

THACO: +4 bonus
Damage: 1D10 +4
Type: Katana
Unusable By:
Cleric
Druid
Mage

I recently installed the Kelsey and Solaufein MODs, so I think you have to have them installed along hith a very good reputation(19-20) to get it, because I've never seen or heard of it untill now.:rolling:

In the equipped abilities part: 'anyone attacking or casting spells on the wielder is subject to an Acidid Backlash.'

I guess that means the acidic backlash flies on anyone attacking or casting spells on the wielder. Maybe you should read something once in a while, considering the answer could be found in your own post. Or get more powerful glasses. >Insert stupid spinning smiley here for maximum annoyance value.<

hmmmm, on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the most helpful, I would give Volar's reply a 1.
I also asked how much damage it does. :rolling::rolling::rolling::rolling::rolling::roll ing:
>doesn't give a sh!* how annoying smilies are<:rolling:

Actually, you asked whether it affects party members, how much damage it does, and where the acid flies. The damage bit was just a part of the original question, and as you only seem to care about it, maybe you should not have asked anything else. Enough of this nonsense, if you want to continue it, flame me to your heart's content on the board's private message system. I don't read it anyway, nor will I read anymore of this topic.

hmmmm, on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the most interesting, I would give this topic a 0

If you're so interested in the effects of this weapon and you just got it, why don't you TRY IT OUT in the game and see? Oh, and you can post your observations here, that will be a fascinating read :rolling:

Well, I read the info on the sword, and it doesn't help. It says it does damage to anyone attacking the weilder, but for some reason my PC keeps getting the acid, not the attacker...maby I'll use some TeamBG tools to change that.

Anyone who wants a copy of the edited version of the sword, email me...I'll send you a copy of it. :rolling:

If the wielder gets acid damage (which is odd because if I see it right the katana should provide acid immunity), then it's bugged weapon and you should mail it's author about it.

It's from Solaufein.
I've already noted Weimer to check this thread. ;)

[EDIT]
By Weimer's request, I'm linking you to his reply on it: http://manju.cs.berkeley.edu/~weimer/discus/messages/3/341.html?1026075409#POST2203
