You can't pick a halfling or dwarven mage so why can these NPCs be them?! Isn't that against AD&D rules? For example the prison keeper at Spellhold and those annoying halflings at the Planar Sphere. Also in BG1 that dwarf you find in the wilderness saying he's seen you before.

Yeah, well, theres lots of exceptions to the AD&D rules in BG2. For example, elves cant normally be cleric/mages but Aerie is exactly that. I suppose because the Dwarves are Duregar and the halflings are feral halflings they might be allowed mages, but Im not sure. I have to agree, though; a halfling wizard would have been damn cool. :D

Having a dwarf/halfing mage is NOT aginst AD&D 2nd edition rules. It is, however, aginst BG2 rules. The programmers made the mages human, but manipulated their avatars.
[EDIT]
Will, Duergar mages don't have class bonuses in AD&D 2nd edition rules, but I'm not sure about feral halflings.

I know what you mean. For instance, I could've sworn I've seen some clerics (not druids, clerics) running around with swords in their hands! HUH?
By the by, Aerie just isn't a regular elf, she's a mucho-special avariel elf, and can be a mage-cleric if she feels like it, so there! :p

I agree with you Demoneater351. Aerie can be what ever she wants to be. To bad she cant fly:(, that would be cool.
