Tana is a legend. You've just been brainwashed by the spectacularly one-eyed sensationalist press that you're exposed to in the UK (I couldn't believe the garbage that was written after that last English test - especially by that halfwit Stephen Jones).

He's still quality but I reckon he's probably done the right thing. I reckon it's pretty tough nowadays for backs to do what Frank Bunce did and keep playing well into their mid 30s. Gives us a chance to get some new midfield combinations in time for the next world cup.

If the All Blacks manage the Grand Slam (for only the second time ever) it will be nice way for him to go out.
