Rest in peace George Best

I've been away for a few days, and i'm kinda surprised noone started a thread about the passing away of one of the greatest footballplayers ever. Football lost one of it's most colourful entertainers this week.

Cheers Georgie, whereever you are. :)

I was going to, but decided against it. Personally, I don't like the bloke. I know, I know 'don't speak ill of the dead' but people will slag him off like crazy, but once he dies he's the nicest guy ever. I'm not like that.
The guy was a GENIUS with a football, but a complete knob off the pitch. That liver transplant situation just lost all my respect for him personally.

RIP though...

You have a good point there Barmy. Especially the liver transplant was a waste of perfectly good human organs, seeing that he immediately started boozing again. But personally i'm just sad to see the "footballplayer Best" go, i don't know too much about his private life, so i can't really comment on that.

Yeah, the guy didn't have enough years at the top really. Again, due to off the field incidents. He is one of the greatest football players ever to grace the pitch but the architect of his own downfall.
Definitely up there with the likes of Pele in footballing terms though. He could do everything.

Hmph. I don't think he warrants a thread since he was a complete waste of space. I for one don't care whether he rests in peace or not.

May he rot in hell. Thousends of people more eligible were waiting for that liver and he just kept on drinking. Absolutely no respect for him.

Yeah, well...i didn't start this thread so you clowns could bash Best, if you have nothing constructive to add, then please refrain from posting at all.
