Did anyone else see the fight. It was something else...

Calzaghe had to be in the top 5 P4P fighters in 5the world. That was an absolute masterclass of boxing to beat Jeff Lacy (the guy who was going to school him, if you believe the Yanks yammer!).

Well done Joe! Maybe now he'll get the respect and recognition he deserves.

Up a weight to Roy Jones now...

HB short for pound for pound, yes KC I saw the truly awesome display by Calzaghe, and as barmy says it was a masterclass in controlled aggression.

Calzaghe absolutely wiped the floor with Lacy, despite (as Barmy said) Lacy being the favourite. Respect to Lacy for staying alive throughout the entire bout, though, he took a real beating with the flurries Calzaghe dealed out. The man is damn fast.

If he is to face Roy Jones Jr. in the future, how do you think he will fair?

I think he'd do him. Roy Jones is up there for the taking now. I reckon Calzaghe would be too quick and too intense for him.
He never gives you a second does Calzaghe. He's in your face all fight, a lot of the American fighters aren't used to that style.

Yeah, he'd do him!

I agree with barmy on this one I think Joe is too intense a fighter for most people which is why he has a tough time finding opponents

Possibly the best display I've seen for a British Boxer - right on par with Benn v McClellan.
