The one feature that i dont want to see in DA (http://forums.bioware.com//viewpost.html?topic=377743&post=3123004&forum=84&highlight=)
<hr /><hr />-fast action decided by quick mouse reflexes.
<hr />Too late for that. The game has been stated that it will be real time.<hr />Flamebaiting by shotgun definitions again Visc?.
You can still pause at any point outside multiplayer, and since you don't play Multiplayer Visc, it shouldn't be a concern to you. For that matter, BG and KotOR were what we call "real time" as well. If those were too fast for you ... err, tough luck, but you won't dumb DA down to turn based http://forums.bioware.com/_global/images/smiles/icon_razz.gif
OK... but HOW do we mod it? (http://forums.bioware.com//viewpost.html?topic=376955&post=3123008&forum=84&highlight=)
<hr />Yep, but using XML allows you to use handy editors, with syntax / semantic checking (given that BM provides a good schema), and nice report generators, translators and so on.
There is a good text structured standard arising, why not use it ?<hr />It takes about 1 hour to write a 2da2XML and back converter, so there is nothing a change from 2da to XML would buy you that someone in the community couldn't give you already. If you use a couple of regular expressions to do this, you got your syntax checking right in (and syntax isn't really complicated for 2da's http://forums.bioware.com/_global/images/smiles/icon_razz.gif ))

Converting the 2das over to XML doesn't really buy you anything. You still have all the same data management problems. You are only changing the format of the data.

Enemies At The Gate: Calling For Reinforcements (http://forums.bioware.com//viewpost.html?topic=378116&post=3123406&forum=84&highlight=)
The enemies in Dragon Age will display a broader range of behavior than in our previous titles. However, retreating enemies is, as some of the posters have already suggested, more annoying than entertaining. There will however be some circumstances wherein enemies will fall-back to spring an ambush on the player. There will also be situations where enemy reinforcements arrive to assist their allies.
