Here are today's Dragon Age forum highlights, collected by NWVault (http://nwvault.ign.com). Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

Excellent discussion folks. Gromnir my fine, fine lad lets keep the personal insults out of this or I will have to kick more puppies...or not whatever you would be annoyed at. http://forums.bioware.com/_global/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

A Tiny Little Request.... (http://forums.bioware.com//viewpost.html?topic=384652&post=3183575&forum=84&highlight=)
It would require some work. Not to say we won't look at something like this when we start looking at savegame stuff. Thanks for the suggestion, it's been noted. http://forums.bioware.com/_global/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif One quick note, there are oodles of features that are really easy to add... heck in some cases they take a few minutes to bang in (on the programming side). Each of those features requires testing though, and maintenance... which tends to drive the actual cost of a feature up by a bit more than you'd imagine. So it's more of a 'we need to keep in mind how many of these little features we're looking at', instead of a 'it's too complicated' kind of thing.

<hr />I think its a fine suggestion. I'm not sure why Stan is being such an ***hat.<hr />Finally stepping up to the plate, are we, hotpants? I understand that nature abhors a vacuum, but I'd hoped that "soi disant conscientious objector of BioWare" was one place on this forum where we could afford a vacancy. Consider this fair warning: frequent trolling is still a bannable offense.
If one noticed the smiley at the end of the sentence, one would get the impression that I was making a light-hearted jab at Asger and not being as big a jerk as one might think.
To be honest, none of the requests/suggestions posted in this forum are impossible to code or implement (at least, being a non-programmer, I don't think they are). But, due to overall project scheduling, we have to make choices as to what is ultimately included in the game you take home from the store. Sometimes, Forum Person A's favourite part of the game has to be cut; sometimes Forum Person B is disappointed. And sometimes, Forum Persons D-RR really hate that we're not doing another Epic Heroes of Heroville game. http://forums.bioware.com/_global/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif I hope that clears up any misconceptions.

If you want to delve into psychology a little bit, you'll rapidly find that Jung was quite correct in declaring that we all follow various archetypes. Watch a few movies, and tell me if you can name a single character that is not archetypal in nature.
The matriarch, the patriarch, the anti-hero, the mysterious stranger, the good guy with a dark past...they're all archetypes, quite simply.
What gives something originality is not the exclusion of archetypes, as that is not even possible, but the method of story execution and the details involved within.
