High or Low fantasy? Any decision yet? (http://forums.bioware.com//viewpost.html?topic=385973&post=3206330&forum=84&highlight=)
As was mentioned before, my earlier statements on this were with regard to low or high magic, not low or high fantasy. Different ball of wax. As with the former, it's still hard to categorize DA so neatly even with the examples given by the original poster. DA has elements of both low and high fantasy. More low than high, perhaps, but since everyone apparently has different definitions of what that means saying so is bound to cause confusion.

Assumptions I'm making for my DA module. (http://forums.bioware.com//viewpost.html?topic=387502&post=3206331&forum=84&highlight=)
Assumptions are not really good. You're good on 2 of the 4 in your list, but I suspect that's not enough for your purposes.

Playing after completeing (http://forums.bioware.com//viewpost.html?topic=386306&post=3206352&forum=84&highlight=)
<hr />This may be putting words in the original poster's mouth, but there is something known as denouement in writing and that has been a bit weak in Bioware games recently.<hr />I think the original poster was indeed asking to continue playing on after the game has finished. That said, I don't disagree with the denouement comment. Believe it or not, we've been edging towards that stance since HotU and currently have something larger planned for DA. Not quite "wander around and talk to people" but definitely larger than the pre-written epilogs and allowing for more player direction of their ending.

The Dungeon Crawl (http://forums.bioware.com//viewpost.html?topic=387002&post=3206360&forum=84&highlight=)
All interiors are individual and pre-rendered, so that allows for some pretty spectacular and unique dungeon areas... which I think adds a lot to the atmosphere that you're asking after. Not so much on the toolset flexibility though, but I've no knowledge of what allowances are being made for that either.

Why not go for a M-Rating ? (http://forums.bioware.com//viewpost.html?topic=387626&post=3206445&forum=84&highlight=)
The process is not to "go for a rating", it's to make the game we want, tell the story we want to tell and see what rating will fit it.
