Ok, I saw this dirtcheap in a gamestore, and as it was desgined by Douglas Adams, I figured that it would be great, but after installing it and run it, I turn to the right in the first roiom, and the whole screen goes white and the thing locks up. Any ideas?

Never heard of the game.. I read the book though, and it was not that great.

Are there any patches out? How old is this game, and what's your system? Which version of windows do you use? Some old games (just a few years old actually) refuse to run under XP for various reasons.

It isn't particularly old, maybe 1999 or so, and I use win 2k and my system easily beats the recommended specs.

That's the thing about computers - you can get in a stage where you can't play the old games and you can't play the new games.

Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Hmm, I was sure I saw that game in a store a few years before 1999, but I could be wrong.

I played it a little with a friend a while back, and while it's quite fun, it's so damn difficult, so we gave up quite soon (but whatever you do, be sure to check out the bomb and elevator before you quit! If you can get it to work, that is...)

Read the novel by Terry Jones as well. While not the best of books, it's an entertaining read, and very funny at places.
