stormhand

I am scheduled for a shoulder operation in the coming weeks. While I stay home for a couple of weeks without being able to use my right arm, I was hoping to find a computer game I could play one-handed!
I have seen some reviews about AoWII but would like to know more about it. Since it is turn based, I thought it could be a game I'd be able to handle!!
However, if you have any other suggestions, I'd appreciate your advices. Thanks.

I have played AOW2 and passed half of the campaign story. The game has simplified system for town managment from Heroes of M&M and some parts remind me on Civilization. And the combat parts are very similar to Masters of MAgic (very old Microprose's game) and also similar to combat from HoM&M4. But all in all the game isn't worth buying because after you finish 3 missions (just to be sure) you have seen everything. My suggestion is any part of HoM&M (ok, except 1st, it was very good for it's time but now...) or if you like managment and space combat my choice is Master of Orion 2 that is old but is very replayable.
BTW. sorry for spelling errors, since i can't see very vell on this monitor, the picture is very blured. Will repair the damage later, when i come home.

AOW 2 is much much better than any of the HOMM games. Combat is deeper. More/greater variety of spells. Empire management is better. And so forth and so on. Bottom line: get it. Though, to be honest, I liked AOW 1 more. but oh well
as for the campaign... just because they give you access to the most powerful units early on doesn't mean it isn't worth playing anymore

The worms series sounds good for you, turn based and fun. The BG series if your fast on the space bar.
