Ok I have a bit of a problem, I've done the fighters guild quest where I have to take out the Theives Guild leaders(haven't gotten Gentleman Jim Stacey) but after killing Sugar Lips in Balmora, the last one, I cannot pay the fine, all guards try to kill me , and I don't have the option to pay the fine. Anyone have a clue as to how I could pay this? w/ or without cheats I guess, can't seem to do it legitly. I have both expansions if it makes any difference this early in the game.

Unfortunatly for you, there is a point where the guards kill you on sight if the bounty on your head is too high, so I'm afraid you will have to cheat to stop them from attacking you.
So next time you wish to kill someone, I suggest you taunt them untill they attack and wait for them to give you the first blow, that way, the blame will be put on the person you taunted, and thus, you will get no bounty for killing the person as you were simply defending yourself.

ok would you happen to know the cheat to reset the fine? just to compensate for it ill drop the 6k gold or something....my last none quick/auto save is ages ago though so id rather not go that far back

Have you been to see one of the people who can fix the "price on your head"? That might work. I think the barkeep in the Balomora Corner Club is one of them.

I believe the cheat is "player->setBounty 0" or something like that.

If you put all your money on the floor before asking them to remove the bounty, they will fix it for free if you're a member of the thieves guild. Don't know what if you aren't.

unfortunately I had just killed all the thieves guild bosses so that option wouldn't work, chev.

but anyway I just went ahead and did the setbount 0 thing and dropped 6k septims to make up for it
