View Full Version : Elder Scroll demos Felinoid Sun, 30th Apr '06, 12:42am Where can they be downloaded? And special kudos for anyone who can find the older ones. Taluntain Sun, 30th Apr '06, 1:15am What demos? Morrowind and Oblivion don't have them... Felinoid Sun, 30th Apr '06, 1:20am No demos?!? What a rip. How about the first two, then? The Magpie Sun, 30th Apr '06, 1:53am I've got both the old Daggerfall & Arena demos, but they're off a cover CD from the U.K. PC Gamer, and e-mailing the install file seems somewhat extreme (but if you're that desparate Fel, feel free to notify me!). Still, Daggerfall is probably going to look laughably out of date compared to the others, nevermind Arena! Both demos are somewhat buggy and confusing, though, but the character creation for Daggerfall is pretty entertaining. Felinoid Sun, 30th Apr '06, 2:06am Actually, I found Arena at www.elderscrolls.com (http://www.elderscrolls.com); I just didn't know what the heck it was. :heh: And I do subscribe to PC Gamer (with CDs). Which issue was it? kuemper Sun, 30th Apr '06, 2:12am /scrounges through PCGamer CDs Aha! Daggerfall demo is on disc 2.12, January 1997 along with 17 other demos. :whoa: I miss the old days of CDs. Felinoid Sun, 30th Apr '06, 2:23am Crap. I started up in Jan '98, and didn't start getting the discs until June 2000 (5.9). Expect a mail, Magpie. ;) It might still be nice for future reference if someone could post a place on the web to get the Daggerfall demo, though. teekc Sun, 30th Apr '06, 4:57am http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/daggerfall/download.html?sid=2539584 Taluntain Sun, 30th Apr '06, 3:38pm Felinoid, considering everyone and their grandmother bought Morrowind and Oblivion anyway, what would be the point of them making demos? Anyway, I'll put the Daggerfall and Arena demos up for SPS account holders in the next update. |
