I really wan't to enter the planar sphere
and grab all the goodies inside. After all
I can't get Crom Fayr if I don't.
But can I do that without Valygar in my party? I thought about killing the bastard
but even though I'm evil I don't wan't to
do that.

That's about it I believe... You need Valygar either alive or dead...

As if there is another option! :) Actaully the only other way that I know of is to have him join you. "Join me my son, together we can stike down the emperor and rule the universe as father and son..."

But what if you are a good characther and
you do not wan't Valygar? It sucks to leave
someone behind.

I killed the punk ass! I'm a good guy but Valygar wouldn't co-operate when I told him the Coward Wizards wanted him, so I had to show him who the man was. Through dialog its possible to make him attack you and you don't lose/gain reputation or anything like that. Its simply a choice of whether you want him in your group or not. If not, slice that punk into Valygar steaks :)

There's only two options to get inside the Sphere. Either with Valygar alive, in your party, or with him dead, in your inventory.
(Heh heh).
Anyway, you can always let him join your party and do just the sphere quest with him, get the sphere for a reward if you're a mage and then tell Valy that you don't require his services anymore.
That way, you'll be happy cause he's still alive and you didn't have to kill him, and you'll also be able to pick up the NPC you left behind in the Copper Coronet right after that. It's that simple.
But if I was you, I'd take Valy into my party. I have him myself and he rocks.

I had him in my party to open the door, told him to go home and then went into the sphere.

I dumped him after I got into the sphere(in the entryway) and he just won't leave. Talk about a rude house guest. I wish I could get the golem to throw him out(hehe).

I grabbed him, dumped Anomen (which I love doing "For the Glory!"), opened the door, took him back to the bar, got him drunk, stripped him of his goods, and told him I'd call him later...
