hi all. found myself wasn't able to make any posts in the old boards. normally i find the forum via the sorcerers website. unfortunately, it seems that the link to the forums wasn't update. luckily found the announcement on the new forum :).

anyway, i'm seeking all of yours kind advice and insights of an upcoming build. all these while my playstyle was a divine character and buffs him up before a battle. My previous build: Pal5/Ftr9/DC6 which i followed from gamefaqs (Paladin hybrid faq).

Finished the original NWN2 OC with this character and overall felt wasn't really that satisfied with it as the only buff he have are Bless & Divine Might/Divine Shield . Didn't really use up Divine Shield as he got Barkskin/Haste from Elanee & Sand. Reason i've Elanee with me solely because of the romance. But it seems there wasn't really a romance if you asked me

'm looking onto my next build which i'm going to create from scratch to start in MoTB.

1. Is Fighter/Cleric class better or Cleric/Fighter/Warpriest?

2. Can't really decide the following:

(#i.)
Cleric(20)/Fighter(10)
Domain: Time

1: cleric - Luck of Heroes, Power Attack
2: Fighter - Cleave
3: Cleric - Weapon Focus: Warhammer
4: cleric (+1 WIS)
5: cleric
6: cleric - Extended Spell
7: cleric
8: cleric (+1 WIS)
9: cleric - Practiced Caster(cleric)
10: cleric
11: cleric
12: cleric - (+1 WIS to 19 for full spell access), Persistent Spell
13: cleric
14: cleric
15: cleric - Blind Fighting
16: cleric (+1 STR)
17: cleric
18: cleric - Power Crit (Warhammer)
19: cleric
20: cleric (+1 STR)
21: fighter - Great STR1, Epic Prowess
22: fighter
23: fighter - Great STR2, Damage Reduction
24: fighter (+1 STR)
25: cleric - Epic Spell: Vampiric Feast
26: fighter - Armor Skin
27: fighter - Great STR3
28: Fighter - (+1STR), Greater Weapon Focus
29: Fighter - Great STR4
30: Fighter - Epic Weapon Focus

OR

(#ii.)
Cleric(15)/Warpriest(6)/Fighter(8)/NWN(1)

2: fighter - Weapon Focus: Warhammer
3: cleric - extended spell
4: cleric (+1 STR)
5: cleric
6: cleric - Practiced Caster:cleric
7: cleric
8: cleric (+1STR)
9: cleric - Combat Casting. Save all skillpoints
10: Neverwinter Nine - Take 5 spot (prereq)
11: cleric - Back to normal skill progression.
12: cleric - (+1STR) Persistent Spell
13: cleric
14: cleric
15: cleric - Knockdown
16: cleric
17: cleric
18: Warpriest - Improved Knockdown
19: Warpriest
20: Warpriest
21: Fighter - GreatSTR1, Epic Prowess
22: Fighter
23: Fighter - GreatSTR2, Damage Reduction
24: Fighter
25: Warpriest - GreatSTR3
26: Fighter - ArmorSkin
27: Fighter - Great STR4
28: Fighter - Greater Weapon Focus
29: Warpriest - Epic Weapon Focus
30: Warpriest

I took these build from the Cleric faq. Anyone could kindly share some insights on the builds and ways in improving them?

Many thanks in advance.

I'm not going to dive into sweet numbers because I believe the fun of the game is best served by at least some spontaneity, so let me just give you a general opinion:

Warpriest is more fun than Fighter/Cleric.

There. ;)

You lose some feats, but you get a better BAB, a better spell progression and also additional spells. What's not to like? ;) Ah, and more HP also, I think. Seriously, take it. And it's a prestige class, so it adds some, well, prestige, to your character. ;)

I'd probably opt for a fighter/cleric/stormlord, but maybe it's just me ;)

Warpriests are just cool. No way around it, they're just... Cool. Just like the Fonz, only instead of hitting a jukebox, they hit your characters and bring THEM back to life.

Forget fighter levels and just take Cleric. I believe Righteous Might is like Tensers (BAB wise for the cleric) and you can still go warpriest if you want, but you'll have much higher spell progression right off the bat.

They key is to name yourself a Cleric of a god that like to fight. Helm, Tempus, Talos, Tyr, (lots of T's...), etc and maybe choose a domain like strength. The other issue is making sure you'll have at least 19 WIS by the time you get 9th level spells. DC's for your spells won't matter if you're gonna be a pounding cleric vs. a heal b... well healer :).

Of course you can also go cleric/fighter which gives you higher BAB without buffs (which I always say is what makes fighters better than melee clerics, which have to buff) and clerics have to have high str/con/wis in order to be solid in melee.
