Just get other teeth for him.

If you "talk" to the teeth (can do that from the inventory screen if you look at them), you get the option of upgrading them and (IIRC) changing the type of damage they do.

The best teeth can be found at the beginning of the game (some woman trying to get back home). Keep her teeth -- Morte can use them and they shift between damage types. The teeth also improve with Morte's level.

There are other teeth you can get, but overall this first set is the best IMO.

Edit: the woman's name is Ingress -- I believe I got them to change by right-clicking or double-clicking on them in the inventory. Perhaps talking to Morte will change them.

right clicking on them in the inventory will bring up the options on whether you want ingress' teeth to do piercing, crushing or magic damage.

i've only ever been able to use piercing or crushing. how do you get them to do magic damage?

ah... okay. it's just like changing from the piercing and blunt then? :) this is my 3rd playthrough and i never realized he got more than that. :p

yup, you get an option saying "i want you to do magic damage" or something.
