Is there any cleric NPCs out there in the mod world? I want a pureclass cleric but I don't like Viconia. Preferably a well developed NPC rather than the ones with no banters/quests/etc.
Thanks!
Thanks!

View Full Version : Cleric NPC Mod nataben1314 Sun, 2nd Dec '07, 4:10am Is there any cleric NPCs out there in the mod world? I want a pureclass cleric but I don't like Viconia. Preferably a well developed NPC rather than the ones with no banters/quests/etc. Thanks! Elfen Lied Sun, 2nd Dec '07, 4:50am cant think of any thats are currently downloadable, but G3 has a few in the works. Stu Sun, 2nd Dec '07, 9:52am Gee, they're scarce - nothing in the BGII section of the BWL List of NPC mods for BG1Tutu and BG 2 (http://forums.blackwyrmlair.net/index.php?showtopic=1412&hl=npc+mod), nor The dragon's horde (http://dragonshoard.blackwyrmlair.net/download.php) i managed to find this through a link on the pocket plane group infinity engine modlist (http://modlist.pocketplane.net/index.php?ax=list&cat_id=5): "Biddekelorak is an old dwarven priest of Lathander. He is quite devout and good-hearted. The most important thing to him is shining Lathander's light into the dark places of the world." *download* (http://america.iegmc.net/biddekelorak/). Never tried it, so I've got no idea about the number of dialogues or whether there are any quests. bugmenot Sun, 2nd Dec '07, 5:08pm Gavin (http://www.gibberlings3.net/gavin/) is a single-class human cleric; for tutu/bgt. Only one I can think of. Biddekelorak is a one-hour npc; so I wouldn't look for much content in there. But if you're sick of Anomen and Viconia... Azure (http://forums.blackwyrmlair.net/index.php?showtopic=1221) is a single-class druid for bg2 in permanent beta release. And for Tutu, there's also Finch, of course. Felinoid Sun, 2nd Dec '07, 6:53pm Don't forget Wikaede (http://forums.rpgdungeon.net/index.php/board,33.0.html?). Barmy Army Sun, 2nd Dec '07, 9:33pm Is that one of those One-Day NPC's? I think i must be missing something when it comes to those... it means it was made in 1 day, yeah? Then surely it's going to be pretty pants and not a great deal to it. Shaitan Sun, 2nd Dec '07, 10:07pm You can get a rather silent Branwen for BG2. Marceror Sun, 2nd Dec '07, 10:49pm pretty pants Pretty "pants?" What, prey tell, does that mean? Trellheim Sun, 2nd Dec '07, 10:59pm Well, you could ShadowKeep somebody to a cleric, for example Keldorn. Pretty "pants?" What, prey tell, does that mean? Means it's iblith, ****e. Marceror Mon, 3rd Dec '07, 12:08am Speaking drow to clarify the meaning of the word isn't generally helpful. Fortunately for me, I'm geeky enough that this word is part of my every day vocabulary. Still don't get the "pants" thing, since pants are wonderful. Must be an English thing. On Topic - There's actually a good number of cleric NPCs out there. I would have thought it odd to go this many years without a few being created by fans. T2Bruno Mon, 3rd Dec '07, 3:00am Do you need a mod for that? Anomen really smokes any pure class cleric. Easily as powerful as Viconia. On the nature side, Cernd is a very proficient spellcaster -- and can be a greater werewolf when it's time to tank. nataben1314 Mon, 3rd Dec '07, 3:23am Do you need a mod for that? Anomen really smokes any pure class cleric. Easily as powerful as Viconia. On the nature side, Cernd is a very proficient spellcaster -- and can be a greater werewolf when it's time to tank. I'm not using any difficulty-enhancing mods right now so power really isn't an issue, I'm sick of Viccy and Anomen's personality! Marceror Mon, 3rd Dec '07, 4:04am Well, and your other option is to run a cleric protagonist, and just choose from other Bioware NPCs whose personalities you can deal with. Stu Mon, 3rd Dec '07, 9:47am @Marceror - 'Pants' as an adjective just means bad or terrible, and about the English thing, well apart from Barmy I've only known 2 people who've used the word - one was from England and the other watched a lot of English shows...and moved there earlier this year. level 1 npc's (http://www.gibberlings3.net/lev1npcs/) allows you to change the class and kits on any npc fairly easily, I've had no problems with it in the past. Cap'n CJ Mon, 3rd Dec '07, 10:34am There's a Tutu NPC Cleric called Finch, I remember that much. She was alright, I thought. Quite chatty. nataben1314 Mon, 3rd Dec '07, 5:12pm Stu, that mod looks cool! Can it work on mod-added NPCs? Stu Tue, 4th Dec '07, 3:46am I don't believe so, although I've never tried it. [Edit]checked the readme and no - it cannot change npc's added by mods. nataben1314 Tue, 4th Dec '07, 4:31am Actually Stu, I just downloaded it, and it DOES contain provisions to change some of the "major" NPC mods (e.g. Xan, Kivan, etc.). It doesn't work for all of them though. It's quite cool! I'm starting a run now with: PC-Monk Minsc-Barbarian Jaheria-Totemic Druid Yoshimo-Stalker ----> Sarevok - kept as is Xan - Sorcerer Nalia - kept as is I was going to make Jaheria a cleric but I just couldn't imagine her as a cleric so pureclass druid will be good enough I guess! Elfen Lied Tue, 4th Dec '07, 7:30am make her an Avenger. seems to fit. "Nature, Take the life she gave!" T2Bruno Tue, 4th Dec '07, 3:53pm I agree with Elfen -- Avenger Druid (I've done it before, works great). The spider form can nearly clear out Irenicus' dungeon by itself and the extra spells are fun. |
