I have a problem with my sorcerer he is elf and a sorcerer but for some reason that i can't understand he can't cast spells. In the thing where you look at your spells the icons are just grey and when you put your mouse cursor over it it says this spell is above the characters casting ability. I have had sorcerers before but i never had this problem and i can't figurte out what is wrong please help me.

Low charisma? That's a possibility.

his charisma is 10 + 0 do you think thats the problem? his wisdom is 13 + 2

you need a charisma of 10 + X to cast a spell of lvl X (e.g. to cast a lvl 5 spell you need a charisma of 15).

Sorcs and bards need cha to cast spells.
wizards need int.
clerics, druids, rangers and paladins need wis.

Mudde explained everything in a heroic fashion, terse but eloquent at the same time. One more mystery solved! ;)

and charisma seemed to be the problem i deleted my old sorcerer and made a new one and this time with quite high charisma and he can cast spells normally now so thank you.
