Here are today's Neverwinter Nights forum highlights, collected by <a href="http://nwvault.ign.com" target="_blank">NWVault</a>. futurewavecs has posted some horse scripts for testing with 1.69.8101 beta 2. Any help with testing these scripts would be greatly appreciated.
<hr />If any of you missed it and want in on the alpha/beta testing of the horse scripts contact me at dwinblood at gmail dot com. There are a few people doing that from this thread. Things are going well and I hope to have Beta 1 ready this weekend...
As is, I just released Alpha 5 which has:
Mount, Dismount, Assign Mount, Party Mount, Party Dismount, Summon Paladin Mount, and numerous behind the scenes things.
It is extendable too so, you can make a module using ponies and horses and restrict which races can ride what. By default it rescales to race like we did in designing Wyvern Crown of Cormyr. This is easily overrideable.
I am now working on making feats be relevant, and fixing exploits and such the testers find.
The scripts I provide ARE workable and improve with each release so, you could get a head start and be working with them.
I also have a hak I provide at the moment that corrects some flaws in the various cls_feat.2das and spells.2da to make the radial menu options function properly.
Anyway, if more people want in on testing these contact me. I am in a time crunch so, the more feedback I get the more issues I can resolve and the better the scripts will be.
Some things I will not be able to resolve due to engine limitations but, I think the end result will work nicely.<hr />Thanks,
