So it seems you really weren't looking for an answer to the question you asked in the first place. That makes your post intended trolling. As such, locking this down.

Is PW Dead?
I don't think PW play is dead. While I cannot go into details, the near future of NWN2 will be improving much in the PW community - with the 1.12 patch and beyond.
As for the way servers have been approached in NWN2, I see it as a refinement for many PWs that were around in the NWN1 days. Those server admins have focused their servers and learned from their experiences in NWN1 to change the way they approach their PWs. Many have been burned in the past and now require applications to join their community, or they have refined the type of gameplay they want on their server.

"I think it is rather hilarious that both Obsidian and Ossian wanted to have their campaign in Rashamen and decided on a story involving a curse. Can anyone say, "spooky coincidence"?"
While I do find the cursed mask coincedence intriguing, Westgate is not in Rashemen. It is directly south of Cormyr across the Dragon Mere, which is an offshoot of the Sea of Fallen Stars.
I think they know that. Ossian originally had the idea of Rashemen for the setting and sent it off to Obsidian for approval and were told Obsidian already had plans for Rashemen. So, Ossian chose Westgate and the Dragon Coast instead. Kind of strange they didn't reject the mask curse storyline as well, since it seems fairly similar. How about some diseased boots or something.
It’s definitely a coincidence. Actually, we sent our Rashemen concept off to Atari/WotC for approval, not Obsidian. Atari was the one who told us we’d need to choose a different location. It was much later that we were told about the final title for NX1. As far as I know, the nature of each mask is somewhat different, which is likely the reason why we kept our cursed mask for MoW. Diseased boots?! LOL.

Will the Grinch (Atari) steal Christmas (MoW)?
Hey folks. I wouldn’t paint Atari out to be the Christmas Grinch in this. It really boils down to working through technical issues as well as the time it takes to modify the NWN2 engine code. I can guarantee that Atari is just as anticipatory at releasing MoW as Ossian is (I talk to them almost every day), and if we could have released it earlier we definitely would have. We’ve actually taken the opportunity afforded by the delay to listen to some of your posts concerning distribution (specifically authentication), and are seriously considering implementing them. We’ll let you know as soon as we have a definite release time available. Again, sorry for the wait.

News on Release Date?

The situation with Darkness over Daggerford will not be replicated here. MoW will inevitably be released, and I have zero doubts about that. I've just made a post concerning MoW's release here:

I really hope they release the custom content patch soon after MoW's release, with NWN1 we had to wait a very, very, very long time for WCoC's custom content to be put in a patch >_<
We'll see what we can do to accommodate you and the other builders out there, especially about getting content soon after release. I'll let you know when we've finalized the official pipeline for that.

" Companions " update soon ?

Whilst we are waiting for the release of the game , it might be cool to have an update on " Companions " like we did for the " story " Hint Hint
All the Best ..........Blade
I'll look into the companions Q&A for you. Shane at Maverick PR used to handle that, but since Maverick is no longer working on PR for Atari's D&D titles, we'll have to find a new way.

Toolset?

So are you saying we can't open the module but ALL the new content will be in the toolset if you buy the Module?
What I think would be good is to have certain content from MoW made available for free for builders to use. This would be completely indepedent from whether they bought MoW or not.
