I have plans to do a total conversion of the NWN engine and make a turn-based BattleTech boardgame mod. Use the parts-based system to make 'Mechs and be able to custom colour using the PLT system and swap pieces around, or to a destroyed version of the limb if they take enough damage.

Bioware, did you get the information you needed with regard to the DM Client crash caused by too many palette items? I know I read somewhere that you planned to fixed it, but asked for some kind of input - though I don't recall what. I will not be able to download the beta until after this weekend, so I apologize if this is already fixed/dealt with. I just want to make sure it gets handled before the patch goes gold.

Best,
Funky
Bumping in hopes of an answer.
Funky
I do have one test module for recreating this issue. If you have another, please let me know and I'll download and test with it too (you never know if it will crash in a different location and offer up more information).

Thanks,
Craig.

1.69.8103 (Windows) Beta 4 Patch Now Available (Discuss).

can someone confirm whether or not there's a hard limit on the number of spells that can go into a spellbook?

I've heard rumors and hearsay that it's 255, but has anyone actually hit this limit? And if it exists, Craig is there any way you could look into expanding that?

Thanks
I seriously doubt that this can be increased for the 1.69 patch.

However, I've heard reports that the game can crash if you add too many spells to the spell book. I can probably make a change to not all the addition of spells past 255 (rather than crashing), if some one can send in a module (and character) that demonstrates the problem.
