In that book about the dead three is also a beatsgod mentoint.Who was visiting the old god of death before Myrkul was it and a daughter of Mystra is also a god, I think she was called Midnight, and what is the deal about Ao is he true neutral or alignmentless!?

Is Elminister a demi-god because he was chosen by mystra and he has really mad powers. Anywhere how old is he. I think he it a couple of billion years old.

Hey Tal, why not put up a section on the site about all the gods? I think that'd be pretty good, dunno about everyone else though :) .

I'd love to if I had the time to do it, but really I don't. Just doing the regular updates and sometimes adding a bit of my own takes a large part of my free time. I barely get to play the game any, what with all the study I have to keep up with and all. ;)

But if anyone is interested and has the time to do a bit of research, then by all means do and I will post your work on the site and give you credit for it.

Everybody forgot AO

AO is kind of the Zues like "uber" god.

Night, if you want to get a littel more educated on the god structure of the Forgotten Realms I suggest reading the Avatar trilology (Shadowdale, Tantras, and Waterdeep are the book titles). It's a pretty good series and covers the Time of troubles and soem of the gods quite well.

I didn't forget Ao, and I asked for a Internetside whit Information, my English is not good enough for a book trilogy

No one wants to follow one God.

It gives the Forgotten Realms much more diversity when creating a character.

Well I guess Syl forgot some other Gods you can find in 'Monster and Mythology' book, like Lloth, Eilistrae, Ghaunadar, Vhaeraun (all Dark Elf Gods, though Eilistrae is a Good one). There is a pack of other Gods for Orcs (Grumsh, the One-Eyed), Goblins, Beholders, even Kobolds... :).

Else, after Time of Troubles, Mystra disappeared too, and Midnight replaced her.

And no Elminster is not a demi-god, he is a Chosen (like the 7 sisters and Khelben 'BlackStaff' Arunsun). I guess he is something like 600 / 800 years old, when he was young he helped the Cormanthyr, that is actually called Myth Drannor (only ruins remain).

During the Christmas break I have agreed to help post info on the god structure of the Forgotten Realms, check back here after Christmas.

Ah... I forgot to mention some Elves Gods :
Corellon Larethian, Halani Celanil, Sehanine, Auril, Aerdrie Faenya, ...

You forgot the most important God of them all!

Hmmm... You should look at some TSR books to get precise information about stats, like Deities and DemiGods, Legends & Lore, Monster Mythology, Fiend Folio (I can't remember exactly, but I think that you can find Demogorgon and Asmodeus stats on that one, ADD1st edition), I guess recent books of the 2nd edition have some information too, like the Book of Elves, Book of Dwarves (with Clanggedin, Moradin,...),... Hmmm... don't know about 3rd edition, lol :).

If any of you read the Avitar trilogy, Cyric is now a god in place of Bhaal, Bane, and Myrkul. Mystra died, and Midnight was put in her place.

Hate to spoil some of the posts, but Mystra IS Midnight. Midnight absorbed part of Mystra's essence and became Mystra. That is why she is still called Mystra.

Another note also, Kelemvor took over Myrkul's pantheon after he took it from Cyric.

Also, I didn't know that about Mystra either. I thought they just called her Midnight now. I knew she had Mystra's power, but I didn't know she took the name as well.

Quick answer to EternalPaladin

I take the last two pages of the Avatar trilogy, sorry I have the french version so my translation could be not exact as the english version : 'Finally, The Wounded Lady comes, the new Godess of Magic... As for all other Gods, Midnight goes into her new Realm, Nirvana'.

Then come the thoughs of Ao where he talks about Midnight, not Mystra. So, how can you interpret that ?? IMHO, I think Mystra disapeared (I never said died) and Midnight took the biggest part of the cake of the Mystra's Powers. You know that the Chosens got a part of her Power, because she knew her future.

Wait wait wait...There are six books? I only read the Avatar Trilogy. Are there three other books that he/they wrote about the time of Troubles or somthing of the like? I loved the Avatar Trilogy and would love to know more about the god's histories.

To answer a few questions.....

OK, actually you are ALL correct. The story of Midnight and Mystra is confusing to say the least. When Mystra died at the hands of Helm, her power was absorbed by the land mostly. Midnight, when she ascended to godhood, instead of changing her portfolio decided to take over everything of Mystra's (including her name), but her alignment was one of the few things that changed (now lawful good). Midnight is now considered by her church to be the avatar form of Mystra.

So, to sum it all up, MIDNIGHT is MYSTRA. Hopefully this clarifies something
