Yeah, I'm the guy flooding the board with lots and lots of posts, lol. Here's my latest situation:

My PC is a half-elf cleric/mage (Shadowkeeper used to make him a cleric/wild mage). I am winding up BG1 and plan on moving on to BG2. I will Shadokeeper Jaheira, Minsc, and later Imoen to match their final stats from BG1 when I start BG2.

Anyway, enough background. My dilemma is this: should I use the 3 tomes of wisdom I get in BG1 on my PC, who has lots and lots of spells or should I use them on Jaheira who doesn't get so many but spends more time in melee? Or should I split them between the two? My PC has 18 wisdom to start and I am using a mod to give Jaheira her BG2 stats to start with. I'll get higher level spells by giving them to my cleric/wild mage. Who would you give the tomes to?

Being the greedy selfish person I am, I always give those tomes to my PC whether he needs them or not. :)

Actually, the manual says that charisma is what is important to druids, so I don't know how much Jaheira benefits from wisdom. I can't really say since I never even thought of giving those tomes to anyone else.

Thanks for the input. Bonus 5th level spells are tempting, I'll admit.

I often give those tomes to Branwen or Vicconia but never to Jaheira. Even if you give her all 3 of them she only gets some level 1-3 Druid bonus spells. Maybe that's ok for BG1 but in BG2 my Druids hardly ever touch these spell levels. In your case I'd feed them to my PC and load the Triggers.

Yeah, I was leaning that way too. I wasn't sure, though, if I was just being greedy. I think I will have my PC eat them.

Give 'em to your PC. Importing into BGII will only keep your PC's stats- no-one else will change, regardless of whether you used a Tome on them. Plus, having more high level spells is better than more low level spells.

@Carnifex: the manual may say that, but Charisma has no effect on druids, other than having a reasonably high character creation requirement. They get bonus spells based on Wisdom in the same way as Clerics do.

There are 3 wisdom tomes in BG1? I have only found 1 tome per stat. So where are the rest?

The three tomes are:

Temple of Tymora (you can keep it if you do the quest right)
Catacombs under Candlekeep
Third level of Durlag's Tower

I give tomes to those who will benefit most. In the case of wisdom, the tomes go to clerics or druids -- simply for the bonus spells. I would consider giving the tomes to a mage if it would ensure the mages wisdom was at 18 for wish spells.
