Now, here's a question - when i clicked on the slayer change ability button for the first time ever, i've got in to sort of a dialog with my character where i had a choice to give in to evil that was rising from within or something like that (and make a slayer change) - i don't remember the wording even approximately, or on the other hand to suppress that and not give in. Being a chaotic neutral half-orc that i am, for some reason i said "no" and now i don't have that ability button anymore. Is that a one-time thing, and if you don't answer positively, you loose that for good? Am i missing out a lot?

Yup, and I seem to remember that using it 5 times in the whole game will kill you, as you'll become a mindless image of Bhaal. Add the -2 reputation to that and you'll see what I meant by how useless that feature is.

yeah. I can see where you're coming from... but as an evil bastard it's cool! There isn't a battle in the game that's so hard that you need to rely on a ton of resistances, wicked-ass stats and elemental attacks (at 5 per round). not to mention that you keep all your abilities.

It's pretty useless for the hardcore fans.

Thanks all - you've strengthened my resolve not to use it :) - although it is a really cool turn of the plot. You've got something that makes you very powerful, but it's a very slippery slope - just like in *real* life.

I only used the Slayer change once in the whole game. If you changed into Mr.Slayer and stayed in the form too long, you will die, not to mention recieving more damage after normal shapechange. That's why I've gone solo with my shapeshifter and am into ToB (Can shapechange into Earth element)

If you're a Shapeshifter, could you shift into the Slayer, then into a Werewolf and keep the good stats and res's?
