So i'm playing through SoA right now with the De Arnise Romance Mod installed. And since theres no ToB content with said mod is it possible to go through ToB as if i was romancing Aerie:love: (or in case i change my mind anyone else!):p I would hate to not have a romance option in ToB or worse have to start a whole new game from SoA from scratch. What Global Variables ( or whatever) would i have to change?

I think you should still have a romance. If you are just starting TOB you may want to summon Aerie to be sure or pause the game to see if a dialog occurs from your imported party.

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("AerieRomanceActive","GLOBAL",2)

Should do the trick.

Finally, another Nalia fan! You have no idea the amount of crap I get on the #sorcerers channel. It's like all <Beren> Haha Jaheira is better <FelGaming> Who would romance Nalia? <KenOff> I find Nalia annoying >.> <CJ> What's wrong with you, man? <Dalveen> Nalia sucks.

You can do it with ShadowKeeper, but it's easier to do it just with Console. Simply type it up and you're good to go.

First you'll need to enable it. In your BGII folder, there is a baldur.ini file- open it up. Then, under Program Options, type:

Debug Mode=1

Exactly like that. Cheats will now have been enabled for your game (this is necessary for the console to work). Now go into your game and press Ctrl and Space at the same time. This will open the console in the bottom of the game window. From here you get get and set variables for the game. Typing into the console what 8people wrote exactly how she wrote it should adjust the game so that it believes you are in a committed romance with Aerie. There are various uses for the console, this is one of them.

hmmm... its not letting enable CLUAConsole when i type in Debug Mode=1 underneath Program Options and i try to save it, it says
Cannot create the C:\Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\Baldur.ini file.
Make sure that the path and file name are correct.
weird

Hmm, that is odd. I've doubled checked that what I told you works for my game, and things are going fine for me. Your problem is that you cannot save the changes to the baldur.ini file? Does it let you save any modifications to the file? I assume the location it is giving is where you have BGII installed?

I forgot to mention in my last post that you should create a back-up of any game file you are changing, as a just-in-case measure.

Right click on baldur.ini and check the properties, it may be set to Read Only. I don't believe it should be, but something to check in case

if Debug Mode=1 doesn't work try adding:
Cheats=1
under the [Game Options] part of the file instead.

Bah, just install the flirtpacks, and at the beginning of ToB, you'll have three extra choices - "Bring me Aerie, my lover", "Bring me Jaheira, my lover" and "Bring me Viconia, my lover". You'll get some kind of bridging dialogue and the first LT should occur.

are you sure that works? if so im just gonna go ahead and do that when i get to throne of bhaal, still i needa figure out why i cant get console to work though its prolly something simple im overlooking or whatnot.

Well, I played Shadows of Amn to boredom, so I started many ToB games, and the Fate Spirit allowed me to bring one of the romancable Bioware females with a romance active. It worked for me everytime.

I have an old version of the flirt packs, so it's not impossible they might have removed the option.

Totally forgot that one, Disciple.

I don't see any reason why it would not work, although I'm pretty sure that Aerie (or whoever else) should not be in your party when you move into ToB (or the pocket plane at the very least) or the Fate Spirit will not be able to summon them.

K cool. Dont have whoever i wish to romance in the party when i start ToB.

Also just in case does anybody know what i have to change in SK to make the romance active? I heard it was like change AERIEROMANCEACTIVE to 2 but is there anything else i have to change besides that? Im sure that flirt pack will work but just in case.

Not that I'm aware of- changing that variable was what we were trying to get the console to do earlier on in the thread. Using Shadowkeeper to change it should also be fine.
