I remembered to keep the pantaloons from BG1 for when I start my BG2 game. Well... I finished BG1 tonight and am working now to mod my BG2. While I'm modding I've been loading the game on my laptop to see what my character looks like after the migration.

Anyway, I know from forums, etc, that the pantaloons can get carried over to BG2 for eventual usage in ToB. My problem is that the BG1 pantaloons aren't spawning in the trapped chest with the +1 dagger right at the start of the game. What gives?

They must be in your inventory, not the inventory of any other party members.

Ok, i gotta ask what do the pantaloons do in bg2?

The pantaloons were in my PC's inventory. So that's a weird bug. Maybe because I played Tutu and not vanilla BG1?

If you keep the pantaloons from BG1 and get the second pair in BG2 and the final in ToB you can get some uber items crafted for you. I don't want to say anymore unless you'd like the spoiler.
