i've unzipped the Ease-of-use Pack by Tioma into my BG tutu main directory ("C:\Program Files\BaldursGateTutu") and ran the setup. it went through all fine and dandy. however when i play the game i still can't stack arrows over 20. i've not noticed any other things that should be working because i have just started.

i thought it was supposed to put an exe file into the directory and you ran the game form there but i get no such file.

i've been running the game through the "easy tutu" program.

can someone point me in the right direction of why it's not working?

do i have to manually move the files once unzipped an the setup run? if so where do i put which files? the readme.txt doesn't say anything except what the program does. no instalation instructions :(

The EoU mod should be installed in pretty much the same way as any other mod. Have you installed any of the fixpacks or other mods listed on the EasyTutu website?

Basically, you unzip the file, folders intact into your installation directory. Click on the .exe and a dosbox should open, helping you install the mod. From the sound of it, you did just that.

Can you find us the file Weidu.txt in your Tutu directory and post it here? That file logs all the things you installed.

it didn't ask me what i wanted to install. it just ran and unzipped all the files and i thought it installed everything. no? i must have miss read something and just told it to install everything. guess i missed that. i just re-ran it and it asked if i wanted to re-install stuff. i went through each one individually and it asked for each option so it must have already installed everything. either way i re-installed everything.
there is a folder named "BG1-ease-v2.1" that has all the stuff "installed" if that makes any difference.

this is what the main folder looks like:

this is what the ease of use folder looks like:

i'm not sure why the "bgconfig" file is for BG2 ToB.

I think I see the problem. You installed it correctly, but you're installing the fixpack for BG1. Remember you're playing BGII!

The game doesn't recognise the installation because the files are different, try installing a BGII Ease of Use pack, I recommend the one from Gibberlings 3.

Hope that helps!

yes however you are playnig thru tutu which uses the bg2 engine so you need the bg2 fixpack.

Yeah I know. But Tutu is still BGII, at least the engine.

Basically it takes the game files, the characters and maps from BGI and copies them into II. Which also means every mod you use should be a BGII mod.

Check out the Gibberlings 3 website, they have plenty of mods for Tutu. Remember, you don't want any mods for BGI, only for Tutu or BGII.

Good luck.

ah. ok. i see what you mean. i'll have to give that a try :)
will it matter that the fix pack for BG1 is installed or will it just overwrite it? or should i do a fresh install?

Just uninstall it via Weidu, that's fine.

the only WeiDU.exe file i have is in my BG2 SoA directory/folder. is that what i'm looking for? i think that will uninstall BG2 stuff wont it?

No, I meant unistalling it using the same .exe you used to install it, sorry about the confusion.

So just uninstall it by removing all the components. Then download a BGII EoU pack and install that. That should do the trick.

sorry for all the trouble. i un-installed it but now i can't seem to find the BG2 EoU file. i've looked on gibberling 3 and here on sorcerer's place. no luck finding it.
i did a search on google and came up with:
Weimer-Ease-v32. is that it? or is there a different one?

yes however you are playnig thru tutu which uses the bg2 engine so you need the bg2 fixpack.

This is plain wrong - the Fixpack is not needed for EasyTutu, as Macready allready has implemented the appropriate fixes into EasyTutu.

without the fixpack i was not able to stack ammo over 20 each. after i installed the fixpack i can now stack much much higher. i think it's up to 500.
i'm sure that isn't the only thing the fixpack did as it asked me about 29 different things to be installed. i just installed them all :)

thank you to everyone for your help. much appreciated!

**edit**
i see what you mean now about the easytutu adding much of the same options. that's if you install "Baldur's Gate Tutu Tweak Pack" which i didn't do.

I'm sure you meant the BG2 Tweak pack ;)

I'm glad things worked out for you.

You should check the readme about other things added. Some tweak pack options (at least the G3 one) really change the gameplay, or add some cheats.
