I can't get my character and Bevile to start the dialog to return to west harbor after obtaining the 1st silver shard. are there any suggestions? I am at my wits end!!:mad::cry:

Are you in the room where the Lizardmen were (where the shard was hidden)?

If so, this happened to me once, when I told Bevil to wait for me to look around.

I reloaded a previous save at the time.

Can you leave the room at all?
If so, maybe you could try issuing "Follow me" to him, and going back to West Harbour manually - the rest of the quest might trigger properly.

Can you start a diallogue through the dropdown menu? (I think that there was an option "Talk to" in the stuff the right click brings out, but I could be wrong.)

You're fairly early in the game - might be easiest to simply reload a previous save.

delot, this is a known bug if you have MotB installed but haven't patched it.

Is that the case?
