I took the sun gem, got past one door, explored over the bridge, now I can not get past the next door down the hall way past the bridge. does it also require the sun gem, I might have put it into a gem bag. Please help, thanks in advance for any response.

There are 3 shadow doors. 2 require a gem to get past, the one in the middle can't be opened.

Hmmm... Let me see if I remember... The bridge you're talking about leads to a room with "lava" on the floor right? If that's true, then the room to the south of this lava room has a hole in the wall that opens on the other side of the "shadow" door.

Yeah, there's a door to the south of the lava room that I didn't see the first time either. Had to go to this sites BG2 walkthrough to see it. Anyway, there is one south of the lava room, which has three exits.

There's some nasty Skeletons in a room on the other side of the lave. I had Brunhilde equip all the fire resist stuff I had from Windspear Hills, and had everone else gather around the corner, carefully positioning them so any monster attacking them would have to stand in the lava. Equip everyone with missile weapons and quicksave. Then Brunhilde would run across the lava and draw a monster or two out. Rinse and Repeat.

This was a tough battle for me, but using the above tactics and a lot of reloading, I made it. My party was pretty beat up at that point, otherwise it probably would have gone easier.

It's a cool place, I agree. I really enjoyed exploring the Temple Ruins in Umar Hills and that room especially really made me feel like I was in a lot of danger. Although I took the skeleton on with close range weapons, he was a good match never the less.

You can go around the outside of the lava, no?

My only real problem was the room with the letters on the ground that were trapped. What I did, however, was too equip the person going across with a fire res ring, red dragon plate (if applicable), and the dragon scale shield. I sent one person across, then I'd give the equipment over to someone on the other side, rinse and repeat til' everyone was across. Tedious, yes, but nobody took any damage (I left Aerie on the other side with an air elemental just in case I was ambushed for some reason, although I wasn't, heh).

<shakes head> Soulfly, Soulfly, Soulfly, haven't you seen the Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade movie? Just step on the letters that spell out the god's name on the way across (Amaunator IIRC); much less tedious than your method.
