Ziad Tue, 16th Jun '09, 1:22am I mentioned to a friend that I had reinstalled Neverwinter Nights to play Kingmaker and was going to try Darkness Over Daggerford next. So he went and got me Pirates of the Sword Coast and Wyvern Crown of Cormyr as a birthday gift! :D
Ofelix Tue, 16th Jun '09, 4:10am UGH! The ride home was terrible. About a third of the way home done, a freakin' storm started. I was drenched after mere minutes. The storm was strong too, after some time the road was just too slippery. I had to come back by metro, but obviously something had to go wrong there too. They don't allow bikes on rush hour, so I had to wait until 7 PM. So there I was, soaked, tired, standing beside my bicycle looking like a moron waiting for half an hour.
Deathmage Tue, 16th Jun '09, 9:49am Might start a new BG2 challenge later tonight.
Loreseeker Tue, 16th Jun '09, 11:06am I've recently realised that computers don't seem to have a wake up alarm clock generically in them (for example as a part of Windows), or at least, I was unable to find one.
As a result, I was awaken by a voice in Klingon saying it was time for qagh... Don't ask :p
(While one could probably schedule a loud task to do the job, that seemed like too much effort for me at the time, and I didn't have internet connection for the other obvious solution.)
The Magister Tue, 16th Jun '09, 11:29am I don't even know where the schedule setting on my computer are, let alone how to change them. It's just never come up before.
Dave the Magic Turtle Tue, 16th Jun '09, 11:51am I just bought a £5 alarm clock from argos lol :D
Silvery Tue, 16th Jun '09, 12:19pm I'm seriously pee'd off. My house is a building site, Rob's being a fanny, there are builders turning up at all hours, my mother-in-law is ruining Ashleys routine AND spoiling him (to the point where he just kicked my mums dog and thought it was funny), I'm trying to run a business, get the car serviced, sort out my own health problems and look after my mum!
It's never ending!!
8people Tue, 16th Jun '09, 12:40pm All men turn into a nonce when there is an ounce of pressure, surely you knew that already :p
If it all gets too much, lock your mother in a cupboard :) Then tell Ashley to hide because Grandma is going to play hide and seek with him. If Rob doesn't start being helpful make him go to the shops to buy potentially embarressing combinations of items, grab a cup of tea, get some work done until Ashley gets bored hiding and complains there is a banshee in the cupboard and let your mother out on the condition she goes to the chemist for things to make you feel better. Call out a mechanic while wearing a low cut top and you can garuntee he will work for a longer time but give you a discount.
PROBLEMS SOLVED! :D
Silvery Tue, 16th Jun '09, 9:24pm Cheers 8!
T2Bruno Wed, 17th Jun '09, 4:51am All men turn into a nonce when there is an ounce of pressure, surely you knew that already
I resemble that remark.
Actually, I thrive under pressure.
I'm hiding out in Vancouver on a business trip trying to feel guilty about leaving Mrs Bruno with the two T2's while I'm getting myself blitzed on great beer at a great restaurant and hotel. Ah, the sacrifices we make.
Loreseeker Wed, 17th Jun '09, 10:44am Mushrooms for lunch, yay! :)
Also, engraving glass is *fun*. :D
8people Wed, 17th Jun '09, 12:29pm No offence intended T2 ;) I know there are plenty of guys who do well under pressure. However there are so many more that are vocal and whiny
The Magister Wed, 17th Jun '09, 12:34pm No offence intended T2 ;) I know there are plenty of guys who do well under pressure. However there are so many more that are vocal and whiny
I think it's just you tend to remember those ones more ;)
8people Wed, 17th Jun '09, 12:41pm Not really, I always remember a surprise :p
Iku-Turso Wed, 17th Jun '09, 12:53pm All men turn into a nonce when there is an ounce of pressure, surely you knew that already
...I actually didn't know that it's pressure that causes a guy to become a sex offender...
Deathmage Wed, 17th Jun '09, 1:49pm Under pressure! That brings a building down! Splits a family in two! Puts people on streets!
I tend to get really whiny and annoying (as my girlfriend can attest to), BUT I also manage to output good results.
For example, I'm whiny and annoying now and I have an exam tomorrow and maybe I shouldn't have been playing BG2...
Silvery Wed, 17th Jun '09, 11:34pm Just got back from the doctors because my hearing has been getting bad lately. Turns out I've had a long-term problem which means that now my ear-drums aren't working properly. I have to go to an audiologist.
My old doctor kept insisting that the problem was hayfever, if only he'd bothered looking properly then I might not have to worry as much!
---------- Added 6 hours, 58 minutes and 42 seconds later... ----------
I have just decided that it's a good job we don''t all llive under water because I just scratched myself and it bled. Then I went for a cigerette outside and if we lived under water than a shark might have smelled the blood and come swimming over the fence to eat me....and that would have been really weird.
Also, the makers of paddling pools would go out of business
Disciple of The Watch Thu, 18th Jun '09, 2:02am Mushrooms for lunch, yay!
Err... yeah. :shake:
Went at a friend's place earlier today... Absinth + a [expletive] hot, [expletive] sunny day = absolute knockout.
ION, the bureaucrats are visiting the store tomorrow. [Expletive] those [expletive]. They should go back to pushing their pencils and let us do the *real* work.
IOON, I just uploaded the Right To Censor's theme as the ear-splitting ringtone of doom. Some ears are gonna bleed... and nevermind the Spanish Death Metal remake of the Macarena. :shake:
IOOON, someone I despise finally had what they deserved coming. Heh.
IOOOON, I am SO going to get wasted tonight. Ministry and Nine Inch Nails albums? Check. Absinth? Check. Blackberry Brandy Blunt? Check. Yeah, should be good.
Decados Thu, 18th Jun '09, 10:48pm I resemble that remark.
You do? I must admit that I never imagined you to be quite like that. :p
8people Thu, 18th Jun '09, 10:51pm I've developed a peanut allergy
Ofelix Fri, 19th Jun '09, 2:33am I can't believe this, as you may know (or not) I'm working for the ministry of tourism. I have got a call today from a woman from Massachusetts who asked me if Vancouver was a province and if it's near Montreal? Hum, no and no ?! How can people be so ignorant? We're not talking about some small village lost in the middle of nowhere, we're talking about bloody Vancouver! The hell ?!
Disciple of The Watch Fri, 19th Jun '09, 6:53am I have got a call today from a woman from Massachusetts who asked me if Vancouver was a province and if it's near Montreal?
LMAO... Epic Fail from the US,
Loreseeker Fri, 19th Jun '09, 8:53am 5 hour bus drive (2x2.5 hours) for a 10 minute administrative chore. The worst bit is that I was quite happy to do it, since the alternative would probably involve much, much more effort on my part.
Also, it is near impossible to study at home (away from uni).
Dave the Magic Turtle Fri, 19th Jun '09, 12:29pm I have just come to the realisation that when my hard drive died it took all my role playing plans with it :( time to start writing again I guess *sigh*
Supposed to be going to a BBQ today, though it looks like its going to be a very windy and possibly damp BBQ judging by the weather lol :P
Kitrax Fri, 19th Jun '09, 6:51pm Just checking in while I wait for my food....
I've spent 3 days on various beaches, a full day at the San Diego Zoo, got drunk with my favorite brother, and I'm spending all of today at Laguna Beach and the tide pools taking pictures of various sea creatures...
This vacation is turning out to be pretty awesome! I still need to hit Six Flags and Knotts though....I'm slowly working my way north.
Saber Fri, 19th Jun '09, 8:18pm I've decided to suck it up and start exercising. This could be the end of me.
Decados Fri, 19th Jun '09, 8:24pm Go for it Saber- it'll likely be unpleasant at first, but you'll end up feeling much better for it further down the line. Out of curiosity, what are you thinking of taking up?

Ziad Sat, 20th Jun '09, 6:19am What Saber should take up for exercising
8people Sat, 20th Jun '09, 10:32am Oh dear merciful gods I hope I did not just dream what I think I did :mommy:
I'm hoping against hope I just got two dreams mixed up, otherwise my fondness for certain Warhammer things has just gone too far! :toofar::nuts:
Son of Bhaal Sat, 20th Jun '09, 10:37am I just tried to find a picture on google to depict your crazy dream but all I got was Sharapova on a tennis court, google aint what it used to be...
8people Sat, 20th Jun '09, 10:46am There are no pictures.
Only concern.
The Magister Sat, 20th Jun '09, 10:55am I think that may be for the best...
Silvery Sat, 20th Jun '09, 12:20pm I had a dream last night that all the people on star trek had wands and excercise bikes and got turned into animals....
Ragusa Sat, 20th Jun '09, 1:57pm Saber,
given the choice I almost every time prefer cooking, eating or playing computer games over sports when I have arrived at home. I need to trick myself somewhat.
Try make it a part of your daily routine. I did start biking by starting cycling back the 16km (~10 miles) from work, because I have to get home anyway, and because it is relaxing (even when the weather is ghastly). It barely lasts longer. I am now fit enough to conveniently go jogging here and then, which I also intent to integrate into my daily/weekly routine (goal: twice or three times a week; distance successively increasing). Sort of works for me.
Decados Sat, 20th Jun '09, 9:23pm After both pizza and quite a bit of garlic bread, I suspect my breath is now lethal to a range of about a metre or so. Methinks that some mints will need to be found.
8people Sat, 20th Jun '09, 9:56pm Found a lovely larp sword I want... only $170CAD and I dare not consider the postage :(
Am far too hot as well, couldn't even finish my dinner :o
Disciple of The Watch Sun, 21st Jun '09, 8:58pm Busy last few days. Removed a lot of "dead wood" on my yard. Good riddance.
Silvery Sun, 21st Jun '09, 9:40pm I have ear-ache
Saber Sun, 21st Jun '09, 10:03pm Out of curiosity, what are you thinking of taking up?
I have been doing some core work - I found a good exercise that works all of the core muscles online. I am also going to do some biking and swimming once it stops raining. The swimming might not work out because I don't have a pool readily available, but I have plenty of hills to bike. I would run, but my knees don't like it so much.
Additionally, I am lifting some weights to get a bit stronger.
And  at Ziad.
Disciple of The Watch Mon, 22nd Jun '09, 7:09am I would run, but my knees don't like it so much.
I'll grab a paintball gun and "motivate" you.
Loreseeker Mon, 22nd Jun '09, 7:17am Ok, asleep at 6pm, revising at 4am, awaiting breakfast and happily gaming in a few minutes - my day cycle has officially entered the "so wrong that it's right" phase...
On the plus side - the weather is so gloomy that thoughts of revision make me happy.
Saber Mon, 22nd Jun '09, 7:51am I'll grab a paintball gun and "motivate" you.
Hahaha, I don't doubt you would.
DotW + paintball gun (or any other object of destruction/pain/fun) = :aaa:
Ziad Mon, 22nd Jun '09, 4:21pm On the plus side - the weather is so gloomy that thoughts of revision make me happy.
Revising then gaming in gloomy weather? Excellent! Nothing to feel bad about in both cases :p
The Magister Mon, 22nd Jun '09, 5:03pm Hahaha, I don't doubt you would.
DotW + paintball gun (or any other object of destruction/pain/fun) = :aaa:
The fun part only takes place if your not on the receiving end ;)
Ragusa Mon, 22nd Jun '09, 8:13pm For the record I want to state that I am 1,80m and weigh 74kg. I feel it is important to say that ;) And my heartfelt cheers to all who prefer cooking/eating over exercise :xx:
T2Bruno Mon, 22nd Jun '09, 8:28pm I'm 1.90m and 90kg -- you clearly don't eat enough.
8people Mon, 22nd Jun '09, 8:41pm Had a nice weekend of cuddles. Now my boyfriend is back a hundred miles away though, but if I am not back at 'home' in three weeks he is coming to get me
I'm 1.57m and 67kg :o
Will be starting sword play soon though, so should lose more weight than when I have been stuck in a chair watching!
Silvery Mon, 22nd Jun '09, 8:57pm Awww 8, here's some cuddles to tide you over ((((((((hugs)))))))
8people Mon, 22nd Jun '09, 10:51pm Thanks.
I am alarmed by how many of my school year are now pregnant or mothers already. Considering I'm one of the eldest in my year, we had four mothers before we even finished A levels (18 yrs) and I have lost count of how many are parents(-to-be) at the age of twenty!
Saber Tue, 23rd Jun '09, 3:46am 8, what is the sex-ed like in your area? I have noticed (mostly from anecdotal evidence) that in areas where they teach abstinence only sex-ed, there are a lot more pregnant teenagers and young adults than in areas that have a wider based sex-ed.
Disciple of The Watch Tue, 23rd Jun '09, 6:25am Saber, here, it was "tell it like it is". Bored the hell out of me... oddly, my best creative inspiration moments were during those years... some people just can't appreciate art... or more specifically, my kind of art.
Shift of doom tomorrow. And then another shift of doom Thursday. BAH! My supplies are running low, too... too few cigars and absinth left to my liking.
Ragusa Tue, 23rd Jun '09, 8:04am 8, what is the sex-ed like in your area? I have noticed (mostly from anecdotal evidence) that in areas where they teach abstinence only sex-ed, there are a lot more pregnant teenagers and young adults than in areas that have a wider based sex-ed.She's from Britain. It's different there. AFAIK they do have tell it like it is sex-ed, and have the highest teenage pregnancy rates in Europe nonetheless.
Silvery Tue, 23rd Jun '09, 9:21am We have great sex-ed. Unfortunatly, we have a lot of kids here that think that they know better, they're the first people to fall in love, nobody understands and they're all modern day Romeo and Juliets!
Decados Tue, 23rd Jun '09, 11:04am I'm 1.90m and 90kg -- you clearly don't eat enough.
She's from Britain. It's different there. AFAIK they do have tell it like it is sex-ed, and have the highest teenage pregnancy rates in Europe nonetheless.
Yeah, that's pretty accurate.
The Magister Tue, 23rd Jun '09, 11:06am We have great sex-ed. Unfortunatly, we have a lot of kids here that think that they know better, they're the first people to fall in love, nobody understands and they're all modern day Romeo and Juliets!
I hated Romeo and Juliet
8people Tue, 23rd Jun '09, 11:34am The sex ed is generally good around here, problem seems to be they teach it too late. Add in the factor I went to an all girls school, as soon as they got any male attention they'd be all over the poor guy  the boys school was just as bad though!
Also many parents neglect to talk to their children it seems. They rely on what the school tells their children to be enough. Whereas when I was seven I came home to a pile of books on my bed
Also lessons are hard to take seriously when you get a questionaire to fill in as the lesson goes on and one of the questions is "How fast does sperm travel?" my friend wrote down 60mph and proceeded to make racecar noises for the rest of the lesson.
Deathmage Tue, 23rd Jun '09, 12:07pm A few of my friends are mothers too, but they seem okay with it. And their babies are really cute!
Numerous people in my high school have had to drop out due to teen pregnancy, though. It's worrying to think about.
Iku-Turso Tue, 23rd Jun '09, 12:39pm When thinking of British sex-ed, I'm thinking of the boarding school sex-ed scene from Monty Python's The Meaning of Life.
No wonder it's easily considered as 'good' :shake:
Balle Tue, 23rd Jun '09, 3:23pm i'm 1,88 and about 92 i think, i was pushing for the big 0,1 ton when i was weight lifting 2 years ago, sadly i only got to 99,5 on the gym weight.
ION: i just got a B+ on my final and physics exam, so i will be studying IT engineering after the summer, go me!
Iku-Turso Tue, 23rd Jun '09, 3:30pm Hmh, I'm 178 and 74. I guess I should be eating more...but I couldn't be bothered. Too lazy to get into a regular workout routine, so every kg of extra weight'd be mainly adipose tissue.
Dave the Magic Turtle Tue, 23rd Jun '09, 6:03pm I'm me size and me weight...I don't keep track lol.
I have a few friends who have kids at the age of 20...I had 1 friend who was going to get married at 16 (he was engaged) but that fell through when we finally made him realise what a bovine the girl was :p we were good friends honest. Another of my friends got engaged while he was under treatment for testicular cancer, they got married not long after he was deemed cured and have 1 child and another on the way...he wasn't supposed to be able to have kids when they concieved the first one :D
To be honest most of my friends who are young parents seem to do ok, and all of them have made the choice to settle down at that age rather than continue education (for better or worse)...unfortunately there are a lot of boys and girls in Britain who have not done so well with young parenthood, but I don't know any of them :p
Silvery Tue, 23rd Jun '09, 6:07pm I had Ashley when I was 23
Disciple of The Watch Tue, 23rd Jun '09, 6:49pm Well ain't that great. Was supposed to get the [expletive] day off, but whatddya know, who's the poor SOB who's scheduled to do tonight? ME, OF [EXPLETIVE] COURSE!

That being said, a quadruple shot of Absinth felt good after that shift of doom. Excuse me while I go have between one or eight more.
DoTW, the new statesman...
@DoTW Have you ever considered a life in politics? You give very rousing and persuasive speeches, the kind that could lead a nation to glory!
LMAO... Well, if nobody minds rude, crude, blunt unadultered honesty laced with *a lot* of Rated-R language, I guess it's worth a shot. :shake:
*EDIT* Hmm, 14 expletives in one post? Not bad...
Loreseeker Wed, 24th Jun '09, 8:13am I hated Romeo and Juliet
Heh. I didn't mind the play itself, but quite disliked the chars. The "what were they thinking?" and "love is no excuse for idiocy" vibes didn't go too well with the teacher grading my literature essay though. :p
Morgoth: Nice. :)
Iku-Turso Wed, 24th Jun '09, 12:25pm I was thinking of starting a 'big circumcision thread' in AoDA, but thought better of it...or better off without it. That would've gotten too hard to handle what with the topic dragging up bad puns like flies over a vat of dripping honey.

Dave the Magic Turtle Thu, 25th Jun '09, 5:03pm Unfortunately I enjoy my job for the most part and get paid rediculous amounts of money for what I do lol :D
Its surprisingly hard writing about a fictional conflict between two countries...I'm going to do it though, even if it gets me on government watch lists for looking up too much stuff about the military, and modern conflicts and terrorist organisations and mercenary organisations and stuff lol :p
Silvery Thu, 25th Jun '09, 5:31pm Don't worry Dave, you can hide in the jewel streets in Boro

Splunge Thu, 25th Jun '09, 8:36pm Wow! Things have changed since I was last here! Plus there’s a new rule that says we have to be respectful – that’s just what I would expect from a moronic site administrator. :p
Anyway, I just came back to say that I haven’t really come back – RL is keeping me busy. Try to survive without me. :D

T2Bruno Thu, 25th Jun '09, 8:44pm Whoa... he's back from the dead (even if only for a couple of posts). It's been difficult trying to provide appropriate (or inappropriate) comedy relief around here -- hurry back.
Chandos seems to be leading in the blue box race

Computers, especially of the server variety, are out to get me this week.
Silvery Fri, 26th Jun '09, 9:12am My kitchen is nearly finished! Getting my new floor in today! I'll have to take some pictures and add them on here because it is FAB-U-LOUS!

Probably a very good idea.

Why are you using both 2003 and 2008? And why Window servers? Everyone knows that Linux is the more stable OS for running a server.

I have no clue...it's for class, and I just did what I was told. Our instructor has some pretty odd labs planned for us.
Disciple of The Watch Tue, 30th Jun '09, 7:17pm Everyone knows that Linux is the more stable OS for running a server.
Another worthless generalization. Ever heard of BSD? Updates don't even need a freaking reboot.
Morgoth Tue, 30th Jun '09, 8:58pm Updates don't even need a freaking reboot.
Neither do the Linux distro's that I use, which are debian and its easy-to-use cousin ubuntu. I'm not sure if you mean normal updates or kernel-upgrades, but they both suffer from the following problem. Doing upgrades without rebooting (or just restarting) can endanger the stability if there is a mistake *somewhere* in the upgrade process, since that would leave the system in an 'undefined' or 'unknown' state. The system is then neither the previous version, or the version you upgraded to. It just exists somewhere between both versions and you can never know, without thorough inspection, how the system is going to respond to certain events.
Just restart after an upgrade and you should be safe from those problems. However, the BSD's rate very high in stability and security. I just remember some problems with SBCL, which is what I use to program with.

Ziad Thu, 2nd Jul '09, 1:13am What's happening to the weather?
It's been warm and sunny (and rather heavy) all of today. I went out at 18:30 for a quick nip to the supermarket, and while there were some clouds it still looked like a nice sunny evening. I walked out 20 minutes later to rain and wind, and now thunder and lightning!
Loreseeker Thu, 2nd Jul '09, 1:28am Dr. Z: Just summer, methinks. It's actually becoming a pattern these last few years. Sun during day, thunder after sunset.
Side note: You know how the eagle eats (well, used to eat) Prometheus' liver every day and it grows back over night? Well, the freaky thing is, liver actually is the only "organised" organ in the human body with such regeneration capacity (mind you I'm not counting skin, GIT mucosa, blood elements, etc. just visceral organs) Anyway, if there is 25% of it left intact the liver will grow back.
Now, did Zeus tell the eagle that?
Or in RL terms - did the storytellers pick the liver by coincidence or did someone actually had some experience with liver regeneration? Javelins and all.
I guess liver is a rather nice target for carnivours - but the regrowth detail is a very, very, nice touch. :D

Ziad Thu, 2nd Jul '09, 2:49am What about using it as a doorstopper or a paperweight? On second thought the latter won't work, it'll fuse all the papers together under the sheer physical stress of its weight!
Oh and I just found it on Elsevier's website. They're selling it for $85! No Rang & Dale for me then.
I'm also not that impressed with its weight. It's only 840 pages, which is about 150 pages short of Brock's Biology of Microorganisms (my personal Bible) and half the size of Solomon/Berg/Martin's Biology (now that one's a good paperweight!)

The plan involves a merciless sledgehammer beating followed by heavy torture with a welding iron, burn it with a torch (crispy motherboard, anyone?) and then put a few bricks in it and drop it from a bridge down to a watery grave.
Hell, I could write a novel with this death.

Silvery Thu, 2nd Jul '09, 11:38am I am seriously annoyed! I've just had a letter from my local council about road safety in my village. It had a list of proposals for better marked speed limits, improvements to road markings atc. It also included details of a request to have a pedestrian crossing put in at the entrance to the local park. Now, the park is used as a cut through to the village centre where the shops are and also to get to the local play group. The council have decided that even though the road outside the park is very busy and even though children and parents with prams have to cross the road, it's not necessary to have a safe crossing and it's far more important to paint the bus shelter down the road!

I think I should be granted a major in procrastination by now, meh !

Ofelix Mon, 6th Jul '09, 2:30pm Went to see Patrick Watson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patrick_Watson_(musician)) yesterday at theMontréal International Jazz Festival (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montreal_International_Jazz_Festival) . It was great and free too! Plus I was invited to the show by this awesome girl. Great day that was.
I have two days off after seven consecutive day of work... finally.

PANIC!

That's the problem: I don't even know if it's easy or hard, or if it has multiple questions, or anything about it for that matter.
I hope I get this question though :D
Managed to reschedule the test. Wew!

I fully agree. I think when I did it the first time I dropped a mark because I got some documents mixed up in my head- a bit of a silly error. The next time I didn't bother revising and dropped none; it really is this easy.

Ofelix Tue, 7th Jul '09, 7:55pm For under 10$ I manage to considerably boost my wireless antenna's signal reception. I took some coper wire wrap it up around the antenna, which I put on the wall near the door. At the other end (where the antenna used to be) I wrap up the end of the wire. And voilà, an increase in signal quality of about 800 %
'Tis truly amazing... :D

You should look into making a WiFi Cantenna (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=cantenna&btnG=Search&aq=f&oq=&aqi=)...they're cheap, fun to make, and they really boost signal strength. :thumb:

Stefanina Wed, 8th Jul '09, 8:01am Well...considering they've got you stuffed in to a sever closet, I hope you'd be a pro by now... :p
Nah, I chewed my way out of the server room, it's too cold in there!! I typically Netsupport into the servers I work on, or I use the blade center management console's remote control.
The main campus's servers take up two fairly large rooms rather than closets. The server room also houses the network's backbone, so there's quite a bit of equipment in there. Still, there's plenty of space to move around in. Things don't get cramped until I get into the server racks, and that is more of a poor cable management\containment issue than anything else. You would think that if a rack includes cable management arms, they'd make them sturdy enough to hold all the cables that the server needs. This is not the case however, it is apparently too logical a notion to actually occur to the manufacturer.
Silvery Wed, 8th Jul '09, 9:18am I made spinach and ricotta gnocchi last night and had some cheese that needed eating in the fridge. I used it to top off the gnocchi. You'd think that after 10 years of being lactose intolerant I'd know by now not to do stupid things like that but oh no. Spent from 2am until 5am in the bathroom alternating between bending over the loo and sitting on it.
On the plus side, it meant that my fat intake for yesterday ended up being a lot less than it was!

You shouldn't eat cheese in the fridge. You could catch a cold!
:p
(More seriously, I hope you're feeling better!)

Kitrax Wed, 8th Jul '09, 12:43pm Not too sure if I like this new pair of shorts I'm wearing. Besides having an appearance of being dirty, even when fresh out of the washer/dryer, they're a cat hair magnet. :bad:

Loreseeker Wed, 8th Jul '09, 9:57pm Weeeell... :p It's not the phone that died, it's the sim card apparently - so my entire phone book is pulverised.
There was a storm, trolleys were down, had to walk across town to the bus stop (and wait for it about 45 mins).
This last exam was the one I liked best - and fared worst at it.
In all the rush I didn't get to go shopping for some shiny new books.
And - that cloud apparently followed me home and is now above the neighbouring city, looking quite menacing and throwing lightning around.
OTOH... no more exams. You're right Magister - life is *not* gloomy. :)

Been there, done that... never had the problem with any iDEN SIM, though...
And speaking of iDEN... I called T-Mike saying I wanted to jump ship to the competition, and those nice bastards had to offer me a deal. Fun to see them bending over to keep my buisness. If this was a perfect world... on second thought, it's Rated-R, and better stay in my head.
Work was surprisingly uneventful this week. Well, except for that 45 year old (word I can't use here) who was hitting on me. Excuse me while I go scrub my brain with Pinesol and a SOS to wash this image from my mind.
*EDIT* Ahh, yes, of course, they gave me an EPP plan. Thank you, Telus.

ChickenIsGood Thu, 9th Jul '09, 7:45am I wanna get back into shape, but it's soo depressing to start running again when you can't go as far as you used to. Once upon a time I'd go 3-5 miles a day... now I think I need to work up from one :(
I can still run a 5:30 mile tho, but anything more and I'm gone.
Silvery Thu, 9th Jul '09, 9:14am When I used to be fit (a looooooooong time ago) I used to run as far as I could then walk until I got my breath back and then run again. It's suprising how quick you build up your distance. However, you do look like a bit of a prat.
