View Full Version : Jaheira Romance
Ragusa Sat, 21st Apr '01, 12:51pm Trusty Sir Donaldus of the most honourable Order of the Radiant Heart is in love with Jaheira. Due to his fabulous reputation beeing constantly on 20 Jaheira ignores him, just speaking about the need ot hold up the ballance and Sir Donaldus ist starting to feel lovesick.
Is her romance rep-triggered? I think so for I donīt get the harper quests either - please help. I didnīt find exact informations on this in the topics on the search engine.

Drunken Monk Sat, 21st Apr '01, 1:20pm No I dont think so as I played with a Cavalier at a rep. average of 20 too and I got the Harper quest. :)
Big B Sat, 21st Apr '01, 1:51pm I've only had breif stints with Jaheira, but I've noticed this... if you complete the Xzar and Monty quest with her in your party, right after Jahiera gets approached by a harper which takes her away for the night. My first time I went to rest at the Sea's Bounty and Jaheira came in the next morning, then Baron Ployer does his thing. I was thinking, geez Jaheira is popular. Although that's the extent of it with her (for me), after I get her cured from the curse and kill the Harpers that turn on you, I get rid of Jaheira. Maybe next time through I will have her the whole time.
Grovflab Sat, 21st Apr '01, 2:40pm If I remember correctly, (notice I don't use IIRC! :)) Sir Donaldus is a Halfling. And Halflings don't get romances, as far as I know. But then halflings don't get to be cavaliers.
Ragusa Sat, 21st Apr '01, 4:02pm As far as I know (AFAIK :D) Halflings do get romances and most certainly mine *is* a cavalier ;)

Shura Sat, 21st Apr '01, 6:15pm As one previous poster said before....to taste her lips...LOL
You had to start off as a HUMAN cavalier at first then utilise Shadowkeeper to change his race, right Ragusa?
When the game first starts, your character will be matched with the various romantic interests. Males don't go with Anomen, and dwarves and half-orcs(halflings?) don't get any.
A male human cavalier would fit with the 3 ladies and the game ignores that fact that you change him into a halfling.
So...
Ragusa Sat, 21st Apr '01, 8:37pm lol shura, a human cavalier would have no problem to run three relationships at a time ... mybe itīs time to revive Sir Belīs idea of the escort service ... :D
Ragusa Tue, 24th Apr '01, 2:28pm Hmm, I fear my Jaheira romance is totally messed up. I didnīt have the Harper-II quest yet (killing off these madmen) and Iīm ready to go to the underdark (day 34 I think). So can halflings have a romance? IIRC I read that on the board ...
Iīm also not knighted yet - after solving all the quest satisfying (except loosing one knight in the fight against the systhillians in Umar Hills), and actually Iīm a wee bit frustrated and donīt like to kill botha dragons AGAIN and do the Planar Sphere AGAIN just like the Pally quests AGAIN ... :(
Any ideas?
TIN_MAN Tue, 24th Apr '01, 3:43pm Only half orcs and dwarves don't get romances, the others do.
cathon Thu, 26th Apr '01, 1:34am By the way, if you use the Baldurdash fixes, Viconia is supposed to be able to have a romance with half-orcs (as was apparently intended). So Dwarves wind up the only ones completely screwed... again.
Capstone Tue, 15th May '01, 3:16am Unless you are using a third-party patch, the only races that can have a romance are humans, elves, and half-elves.
Dwarves don't need love anywayz. They need a big axe and a bigger tank of ale and someone five or ten times their size to hew down, all the while hurling epithets vile enough to boil the skin off your back, without even breathing hard....
OK I'll shut up now.
Nobleman Tue, 15th May '01, 3:27am Amazing which names one can get away with aye "Grovflab" using a native language.
Grovflab Tue, 15th May '01, 8:51am Oh no, somebody understands my name.... :) Well, it's merely a name, and I've already explained the meaning of it on the Whatnots forum.
