How does this work? My character had around 35% when I finished the game. I noticed that he was immune to magic missles and the like. So does this affect the damage done or does it resist that percentage of spells or does it have that chance to resist a spell? I'm confused!

Magic Resistance is the chance to negate a spell. If you have 50% MR, and you get hit by a spell, then you have a 50% chance of negating that.
Magic DAMAGE Resistance is different. If you have 50% MDR, and you're hit with MM, then you take 1/2 of the damage.
Hope that helps. :)

Note that you can lower an enemy's magic resistances with spells like Lower Resistance (mage lvl 5), Pierce Magic (mage lvl 6) and Pierce Sheild (mage lvl 8). MR is a two sided thing. One half is your MR and the other is the opponents. The spells listed above are great for bringing down your opponent's MR.

Hi,

Regarding magic missiles and magic resistance, each missile will test MR separately so that even though the target might be 50% MR, half the missiles on avergae will hit.
