If you started BG2 again, and left the dungeon and watched the cutscene between u and irenicus closely, you'd realize that when he first starts fighting the rogues... there is one of them in grey who will walk away.. who is that rogue? i have a few ideas but what do u guys think?

Never noticed that. I thought Irenicus killed them all.

Irenicus would have had he been smart and chosen Sorcerer as a class instead of Mage ;)

he's no shadow thief, he's one of amn's infamous paparazzi, Norman Thredler. Took a few quick notes, some sketches (had to disguise himself as a thief) and took off to the nearby printing press to get your mug, along with that freak irenicus on to the front page of amn's largest trashy magazine, Mirror Image. In the article, he discusses several untruths, not the least of which is your special bond with irenicus. Terrible stuff.

That would seem like the most plausible explanation. When you meet Aran in chapter 3 he goes on at length about how they saw the whole thing and have been following you closely ever since, so someone had to have escaped and reported all this.

Would Drizzt have had a chance against Jon? Cool fight in any case...

Since Drizzt is higher-level than your PC, and your PC can beat Jon, I'm assuming Drizzt could.

Which begs the question: WHY DOESN'T HE? Goddamn, I hate stupid arch-heroes who show up in far-flung countries for no reason other than to provide you with a cameo and don't do anything about the local megalomaniacs slaughtering cities and trying to become gods! *laughs*

Drizzt, dual-class 25th-level-ranger/2nd-level-glory-hound... Just can't stand to be out of the camera shot for a whole game, but can't be bothered to actually help the suffering people of the country whose newspapers he's trying to get his face in...

Drizz't gave me a hand with Bodhi and her cronies. Unfortunately, i realised this too late and by the time i came to help, only drizz't survived the vampires while all his buddies lay scattered on the floor, drained to death apparently. Humorous to note, after emerging from the Vampire's guild, if you will, in the tombs... some strange little man approached my party saying "I see you have some of the parties weapons in your posession. I think i will take them now and resurrect the fallen heroes inside."

I was in such shock at this man's forwardness that i simply gave him the trinkets speechlessly, and he left into the tombs. In hindsight, i should have liked to see if he could have taken them by force. I doubt drizz't would have done a damned thing against irenicus. The "thief" was a paparazzi. I've got issue Number one of "Mirror Image" to prove it. ;)

Why can he not be Shadow Thief's renegade who's joined Bodhi's side? For sure Irenicus would spare his mean life.

Julius: Oh, man, don't even get me started on that guy. (-: The corny Drizzt-and-his-famous-buddies cameo was bad enough; Malchor Harpell was cheese to the max. Yes, he will take all that stuff back by force. You won't even have the option to do anything about it, he just divinely removes it from your inventory. If you try to fool him by hiding some of it before he comes, he will kill you with automatic instant death. How come THIS guy doesn't do anything about Irenicus either, I'd like to know.

I don't see why Irenicus would necessarily waste Drizzt. If a soloing PC can beat Jon, then Drizzt presumably could too.
