Dude, I really think it doesn't matter, but I would say that pretty much anyone could romance anyone. Not everything is to be known...

Class does NOT affect possibility to have a romance!


Only race affects it. But since Viccy can have a romance with humans, that means paladins are also available (due to ad&d racism that enables pallys ONLY for humans).

Ah, yes, and gender is also important. No homosexual romances available.

Yes, but it's not exactly role-playing style, after all, she's an evil drow elf. IMHO, a Pally probably shouldn't even have saved Viconia; Keldorn wouldn't.

1. That belt I've never found in SoA - where is it?

2. The game tests your hero at the start and gives a chance - or not to have a romance. No changing that later! (especially for those who use :-X util to change race and then ask: "I don't have a romance and I should have it", what a lamers...*sigh*)

3. You can always peek in Romancing Guide and see how to enable it with console - but that's NOT legal.

Thank you for the info, the belt is on the gith that is in the iron orb in the underdark sometimes. I have found it on him 5 times ou tof ten. Also, i looked for another post about this but couldnot find one. guess I was tired. :)

Not role playing, what utter crap. The PC is a child of bhaal afterall and has a seriously evil taint to his soul becuase of it.

My undead hunter is romancing Viccy and I think its a perfect role play. It is his way of trying to fight the evil coursing through his veins, can her turn Viccy to the good side etc etc. I plan to play him through to TOB.

The belt of opposite gender IS in SoA!?

Don't be angry, but I think it's bull. Ok, I admit I finished the game only twice (and third time almost)... But random placing of such belt...not very likely. Some other belt, ok, I can believe it, but this one... nah!

I think it it only ramdom so far as that it is only sometimes there. it is never anywhere else. I may be worng about the exact location, but it is in soa.

Paladin and Viconia:
No problem, might even be good roleplaying (nice guy falls for woman which he is supposed to hunt down),
but beware:
She WILL leave you when your Rep is higher than 18 !!!! (So you might let your thief get caught stealing, -2 rep points, from time to time)
This will no longer happen in ToB.
