Speaking of game's ballance, what do you say about this awesome shield, who makes the beholders kiling themselfs without a scratch for my warrior?

Personally I loved it. I completed the game thr first time without using it or the cloak that has a similar effect. However, I found the beholder dungeons to be a real chore. I'm more a fan of adventuring and story than hack n' slash so find that type of fight frustrating not fun. So since then I have been quite happy to use the shield to breeze through the areas.

Also, it's worth remembering that the shield doesn't make you completely safe. You can still be imprisoned. Finally, the shield's strength penalty makes it pretty worthless (when compared to other shields available) for anything other than beholders. So it does represent a significant cash investment/penalty to gain the easy Beholder option. These two factors help to redress the balance somewhat.

So, to sum up, I agree with you that they do tend to unbalance the beholder areas more than most magical items unbalance other aspects of the game. However, it is nice to be given the option to make one potentially tedious area less so. I'm a huge fan of giving players a choice. If you think the shield is too much, then spend your cash on something else.

Personally, I do not know what exact item are you talking about. I mean, that shield is not in my game.

Methinks the shield is on bonus CD merchant. They sell items from PS:T, dont they? Thats deviant, lousy idea... Neways, the shield is as bad as the cloak of mirrors, but not SO bad still, dont use it, noble warriors! :)

If we play the game honestly, we have to pay a big sum for this shield. Further more, it -1 to the strength. That's the price to pay for this good shield
