I put some custom portraits in the portraits folder but when I load up the game and try to select one only some of them are there!! How do i fix this.

Have you made sure they are all the right size and format?

they are the right size but i didnt know that they had to be a certain format. what should i change them to?

They should be bitmaps. I don't think the color depth matters.

they still wont show up?
I tryed all bitmap types but they wouldnt show up, i also thought there might be a limit to how many could be there but so i removed them all and just left one of the ones that wouldnt show. it still wouldnt show...
someone please help!

Wow I just answered my question for myself after a while of messing around with the files. It turns out that the length of the name can only be 8 characters or less!

copy the portrait files to override folder. might work.

edit : Dang, you already answered to yourself. (I didn't read the last post.)

Actually, I think you want to do the names with a 7 letter name plus either a L or and S at the end. I don't know that the game enforces that, but it is the "standard" naming for portraits.

Just check the game's readme, it's explained in detail there.

i had the L and S on the end, i countedthem`as 1 of the 8 letters
