I'll probably be getting BGII soon, and was curious about how it handles thief skills when you bring a character in from BG. From what I understand, in BGII the stealth mode is actually divided between Hide and Move Silently as separate skills.

How is this handled in transition? Will my stealth percentage in BG be divided evenly between these two skills, or will the same score, (right now around 85%) be used for both hide and move silently.

I think that the score would be the same for both skills ..

You get to reassign your points as you see fit don't you?

Yes, Aces is right. You must reassign all your proficiencies and thieving skills in the start of BG2.
