We've all played the game and we've all got fond memories of it so what was your funniest moments in the game everyone?

For me it was possibly Gorion, with his LVL 8 ward being ambushed and telling him to run.
Or the bit in Cloackwood where you go into the cave where the body and spiderbane is to be confronted by lots of stuff. 6 exploding potions later the thjings were dead. I like think that the monsters thought "Aha! Dinner! Oh ****, it's adventuers, not known for thier common sense or regard for personal safety......(BOOOOOM!!!!)."
Hey I know it's a computer game, But I've been a GM way too often not to sypathise with the poor monsters. It doesn't stop me cutting a bloody path through them for that Holy Avenger though..... :D

Funniest Moment? Ooooohhhh...errmm...
Either:

1.Killing Sarevok with the summon cow scroll.
2.Killing Garrick with the summon cow scroll.
3.Making Garrick cast a Lightning Bolt spell so it bounces of the wall and kills him.
4.When Khalid says 'My heart's really not in this.' As he attacks a chicken.

Definetly when I killed Sarevok with just magic missiles and 6 gnolls.

When I had Khalid kill Jaheira, and he sobbed about her death afterwards. Or was that Minsc and Dynaheir?

I had Montaran, Xzar, Jeheira, and Khalid. At one point, I helped some little old lady and Xzar exclaimed, "Why do we have to be so blasted nice all the time?!" To which Jeheira turned and replied (for real), "You know, you're rather amusing in that What-The-Hell-Is Wrong-With-You kind of way."

NO KIDDING.

Those funny moments with interparty banter have happened to me too (including that one the first time I played the game), although I haven't heard Edwin say his "Elminster this..." speech in game yet.

Funniest moments?
Lets see...if you repeatedly click on a NPC (about 9 times), they say some pretty strange things (try it with Khalid before you kill him, you heartless bastards!!!)
Also, when Minsc slashed Dynaheir into tiny pieces and then cried about it afterwards.

When Khalid, Minsc and Noober all fell on my sword at the sametime in the same place and died. Accidents DO HAPPEN!

Funniest moment to date has to be Imoen walking around the entire mape (no joke!!) to get to her position. Guess she must have other things on her mind...

The funniest moments were when I first discovered the writings on the gravestones in Nashkel. Some of them are just too great!

"Uh wha uh whuh??!! Why thank you! :)" - Khalid, when complimented.

"Even with infravision, I prefer daylight!" - Khalid.

"The majesty of the forest makes me feel......insignificant." - Xan.

There is some great dialoge between Dynahier and Alora. Alora ranks up there with Quayle in terms of anoyingness.

i think that the whole dammed game is one big joke!

It wasn't bad for the year it was made!

Mine would be when Silke casts a lightning bolt, misses you, rebounds off the wall and kills herself! Annoying though...you don't get the experience either...

The funniest moment?

Me and my friend were playing BG on a LAN. When I wanted to talk to Gorion, the game hung.
He ususally says "Oooooh, my child, I am glad I have found you". But this time he was going (because the game hung and the sound was repeating):
"Ooooh ooooh ooooh ooooh ooooh... OOOOH"
Perhaps I've come to meet him at a bad time :D :D :D

Holy ****, Sentry this topic is more than 6 months old!! Oh well. One funny moment is the argument between Edwin and Minsc and Dynaheir in the Gnoll Stronghold.

In the final fight with Sarevok, just after he finished going through his 'I will be a GOD' speech, I clicked on Imoen to pull her back and she said 'Huh, you're a queer-' then got cut off. :D

Huh, sorry :), but I just signed up for the boards and I was checking out the archives... I didn't really notice how old this post was ;)

When I was traveling to Nashkel with my thief and Xzar, we were stopped by a flaming fist mercenery claiming we were bandits. We went hostile, so I had him chase xzar in a circle while my thief fired arrows at him. As Xzar was running, a gibberling attacked him, and the flaming fist guy attacked the gibberling, who was following Xzar. Thus, Xzar was running around my thief in a cirle being chased by a gibberling who was being chased by a flaming fist mercenary being shot at by my thief. It was pretty funny looking.

More than 6 months? It is one whole year and a month old! And take a look at the times between the posts. Seems like it has been resurrected before :)

While I was exploring the Ulcaster dungeon, Imoen was running point and checking for traps. She walks into the spider room, they see her, and she legs it back down the corridor to the party.

I got this hilarious mental image of her running pell mell from five Huge Spiders, hollering "Kirenaaaaa!" ;)

My fun moment was in cloakwood where Minsc was hit by a lightning, while he was expressing his joy about our recent Reputation increase. Talk about divine penalty :D

I can't remember what he says, but I do remember me smiling, alone. Doesn't happen often.

Hehe that is funny Nobleman. I always am surprised by those lightning strikes...seems like one of mine gets it 2 or 3 times each game...kinda startling.
Imoen has some good dialoge when party killed the dryad and lost 5 rep points and went down to rep 5....something about some kind of "....mongering riffraff". She didn't leave though..hehe.

How about when you kill Firebeard Elvenhair after you get his scroll and he protects you from evil, then he asks you to get a book for a reputation point and XP. Talk about a glutton for punishment!

Well not so much funny as ironic. I was mowing out the xvart village when one yelled (what sounded to me as):"Kill all you snotheads"
I said huh? right on cue with my less-than-intelligent dwarf fighter. I maybe getting just a little too caught up in this game.

No, you're not going crazy...yet :D I heard the xvart say it too and was laughing all the way through that village.

yeah, the leader of the village says that, before summoning the bear who kills all the xvarts "ursa protect us, ursa be kind"... "ursa killing all my brothers... guess i was wrong"

anyway.. i laughed when in cloakwood i got caught by a web trap, which held all of my party, then 3 giant spiders moved in followed by a sword spider, the sword spider killed the giant spiders and then buggered off

lol..if only i were that lucky

for me the funniest thing that ever happened was when ONE winter wolf killed my entire party but me then walked away.

i think it was in candlekeep in the prologe and i killed everyone
