Help! Jaheira's reputation is dropping mysteriously, after I killed Dermin! It is random I believe cos doesn't drop in every battle. After it drops to zero, she dies and no matter what I do I can't revive her! What's going on and what should I do?

Umm, reputation is shared by the party and if I'm correct, it won't drop below one. You mean hit points?

Sorry I mean charisma....it just keeps on falling even when no one is doing anything during battle! I see the message "Charisma modification".

Now that's interesting, did you remove the curse bestowed upon her by Baron Ployer??? Can't think any other reason.

The Rod of Terror has a potential to lower charisma with each use. Is Jaheira using it?

I wonder if a restoration spell would help. Did you try that? You can get restoration spells at a temple.

Rod of Terror has 20% chance to drain 1 or 2 points of Charisma PERMANENTLY, so restoration doesn't work. Use another weapon.

most probably you haven't cure the curse. Pls refer to the hints to cure the curse thoroughly.

eg, sleeping for one whole day after defeating the baron. (3 x 8 hours' rest)

It's not the curse..it's the Rod of Terror...Thanx guys...Now I have to equip Jaheira with the Ring Of Human Influence just to keep her alive...her charisma is now one ...but that's the price of using that weapon I guess....

Don't feel bad. I did the same thing with Nalia. That'll teach us to read the fine print. ;) Luckily I eventually gave her a different weapon. Later I read about the unfortunate side-effect of the Rod of Terror here, and checked. Nalia's CHA had dropped from 13 to 7.
