http://www.sorcerers.net/images/news/non-dnd/mass.pngApparently adding Kinect support to Mass Effect 3 will allow EA to capture the Dance Central and Call of Duty markets - or something like that. Head to Eurogamer for an interview on ME3 and the Kinect if you want more (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-06-10-why-mass-effect-3-supports-kinect).

Why don't they plainly say 'we wanna make mo' mo'ney!

Because it sounds less sexy than "We're doing this for you, our beloved and most valued users. And besides, you told us yourselves in a poll* that this was what you wanted."

*Which we held between two users, three of our own programmers, the marketing department and the board of managers. The board had the decisive vote.

Mass Effect has a fairly complicated combat system.

When?

Using the sensor's voice recognition technology, you're able to read out lines of dialogue to activate them, and during combat dish out instructions to your party members.
"For core gamers, they just liked the fact they could even be more powerful with it. With new gamers they felt they could get into it much easier."

or.... itll make gamers look and feel like psychos shouting at their TV
