I've noticed that in SoA, once you press space to pause the game, you can't unpause it for a second or two... is there a way to change this (i.e. allow instant unpauses)? It's starting to annoy me a little bit...

I'm not sure what you're saying - all you have to do is press the space bar to unpause to continue the action for as long as you want (1 second, 2 seconds or a couple of minutes - whatever you want), then press it again to pause again.

Do you have the official patch and either the SP fixpack or Baldurdash installed? (If not, you should.)

I think he's playing a multiplayer game. My game acts the same way. For some reason you can't unpause right away in a multiplayer game (1-2 seconds delay) - unlike in a single player game.

I don't know... You can always start a single player game instead but this hardly constitutes a solution.

If you're multiplaying with yourself so you can play several characters, copy your save to the normal save folder and play it in single player... that's what i do.

Wait... forgot that I was playing a multiplayer game, that was the problem.
