Anyone care to offer their opinion as to which bigass 2-handed whomper I should burden Minsc with? The poor guy, his inventory screen makes him look like a pack mule with all the stuff I usually make him lug around. Granted, I have a WAY overburdened favorite table at Copper Coronet / Cheers in the Slums, (covered with stuff I "might need" later and don't want to sell yet), but I got Minsc carrying 2 bigass blades. Any suggestions? :grin:

Of those two, I'd suggest Lilarcor. Since Minsc is stupid, he's very susceptible to Charm and Confusion effects, and Lilarcor will protect him from those.

BTA - you say "of those two..." - implying to me you may have even better suggestions? I have Keldorn lugging a couple bigass blades around too - DragonSlayer, his own magical pigsticker, and I have found a 5th 2-handed sword or 2.
I know certain situations call for certain tools, however this is one of those "if you had only 1 blade for Minsc" type deals.

Minsc *IS* stupid.

Lilarcor is a +3 weapon and thus can hit more monsters, and has a better accuracy. Stick to it.

Well later on there are some nice 2-handers like the Silver Sword and the Warblade.

Given the pleasant distraction of my 9-month old daughter, I am only just now slogging through Trademeet, Umar, Sphere, then to Spellhold. So, I would assume those better blades come up later - i.e. after Ch 3?

I really think Lilarcor and Minsc were meant for each other. So keep it on Minsc until you find better, or if you just like it. :grin:

the sword of chaos is great.. until you emerge from irenicus' dungeon! after that it just becomes another +2 crappy 2handed sword.. Lilarcor, which you can effectivly get a few hours after escaping, is a +3, and also has mind protections. oh.. and Lilarcor TALKS! which is a definate plus!

So, Spuds, you think I should sell the Sword of Chaos? I really haven't used it much, now that you mention it...

No question. Sell the sword of Chaos and use Lilacor.

Give Minsc Liliacor early doors, and when you get out of the underdark via Saemon's Cruises and the Gith***y (easy meat) ambush, give him the silver sword. Black Dragon......what Black dragon????????

If you are refering to the Shadow Dragon then you don't have to wait until after the Underdark to kill him. I beat both dragons before I went to chapter 4.

I thought the black dragon was that dragon in Suldanesselar, you know, the one with the quest item. Is that the one you guys are talking about?

Shadow dragon is the one in the shadow fiend quest close to the umar hills.

umm.. who mentioned dragons? the black dragon is irenicus's ride. As this is a sword thread,can anyone remind me the name of the 2handed sword that drains THAC0 ?
