How much 'open locks %' do I need? Also where do you think I should use his proficiency point? I'm thinking dart, crossbow or sheild. (I have a lot of darts in storage and no one uses em)...Thanks

Don't worry much about Yoshimo. Do whatever you want with him. I don't want to give anything away but you should try investing in a different thief character.

You can use spell Knock(second level mage spell) instead open locks. In Copper Cornet you can find Tuigan Bow+1 (short bow, 3 shots per round);I like bows more than crossbows and darts. And I agree with Rednik.

I like Yoshimo. If you like him, use him. If you like the weapons he's using now, then where you assign his proficiencies don't really matter, since you're just going to use the weapons he currently has anyway.

BTW, don't even hint at spoilers if a poster doesn't ask for them. You're ruining his/her gaming experience.

You didn't ruin the game for me Rednik...no worries. Thanks for all the help guys...I appreciate it :) I went with long sword proficiency with sword of roses for backstabbing. (Stealing it was too easy hehe). He is good with the tuigan bow anyway (and I already had it).
As far as knock goes I'd rather not have to use spellslots for it...in some places, like the Shadow Theives guild hall, you would need to knock like 15-20 times! Thats a lotta sleeping :(

I like to give Yoshimo Celestial Fury(A katana located in the Temple District) and a buckler from the rogue rebalancing mod. That's a decent combination, and he gains some AC while still being able to backstab.

I highly recommend downloading it, it's one of the best BG2 mods made by someone who isn't Wesley Weimer.

I have to say i totaly agree with Rednick. It's one of the best mods to BG 2 so far. Thieves and bards are getting so much more exiting to play now :)
