You need the third sun fragment. One you get from talking head north of the
jail (three rituals). Two you get from giving bones to ghost (bones in first
room, ghost south of lava). Three you find in the little room to the right
above the "scrabble board". Take the shadow back across, kill him, then go
back and search his cell. This will give three pieces and form the symbol.
Next go out to corridor and continue counter-clockwise to door at NE of map.
Final Sun gem should open it (I only found 2 gems and there are three shadow
doors... was there ever a third gem?) Then go up and PASS BY the Shadow
Dragon... don't mess with him yet. Go out to the west and trounce the Shade
Lord. Now, you don't have to kill the dragon but I think it's worth the try.
Re-memorize lots of area effect spells (I used Ice Storm and Fireball). Go
down and find the dragon then BACK UP til you can't see him. Launch spells
(and potions of explosions and the like) to the edge of your vision. His
Resistance will stop some. You may get luck and kill him. After you've shot
your wad, cast prep spells, charge him, and pray. HERE'S A QUESTION FOR YOU:
Can you figure out what the purpose of the Amaunator statue (above scrabble
board room to the left) is? It seems to want something to be put in it but I
have no idea what.
