What if you developed a new expansion where you played two parties simutaneously. One party would be evil, the other good. You would pop back and forth at the end of each chapter. At the end, you would be faced with a true alignment question by facing the five remaining members of the opposite alignment's party. A true battle for the "fate of the world". Perfect for a outrageously high level ending that BG seems to be heading for inevitably. Just a thought. I don't know if the Paladins or Paladin-hater could take it though. The interesting part would be seeing how the other side lives first hand.

uhhh...

that would be cool, but i can see alot of programming flaws already. that would lead to some big bugs.

Sounds like M&M 7 where about half-way thruogh you have to decide to be good or evil and then there are seperate quests depending on your choice.

Just one thing, hate to be annoying like this but it's what I do best, this sounds similar to the RTS Total Annihilation Kingdoms which had you switching sides for each mission. That was the primary aspect for which it was criticised (apart from the paucity of explosions when compared to its SF predecessor), because the lack of consitincey with who you were was felt to break up the storyline and make it difficult for you to empathize with your virtual avatars. I can see this happening in your suggestion, but you've probably thought of that and a way around it already. So, cool, I've got a feeling that if "you" were two different people, and you chose one at the end, it would fit with the whole idea of Bhaalspawn.
