I have experianced some crashing when moving from one area to another - also my hotkey functions no longer work (Can't hit Q). Any remedies?

Do you mean that you've got ONLY tactics mod installed, and have experienced crashings when changing areas after installing it?

Does it generates an error message when the game crashes? If so, what does it say?

No after Tactics I installed Solaufein, Valen, Kelsey, Ease of use, Underused Items, Expanded Thief Stronghold and the Quest Pack. On Tactics I did not install Improved Ilyich or Ishan's deadliest random encounters.

And this happened after you installed the mods? Do you have a backup of you overide folder, BGmain.exe, Dialog.tlk and chitin.key? If yes, try to restore your default setting (clean pathced BG2) and see if the problem's still there. The fact that Your hotkeys are disabeled (are all of them disabled?) sound strange (and so does the crashing, considering the mods you've installed).
The list you've provided, is that the exact order in which you installed the mods?

And again, is an error message generated when the game crashes? If yes, what does it say.

I'm sorry for all the question, but very specific information is requirred if we are to solve this problem (though you may just end up having only a re-install left as an option).
